I'll get to replies later, just stopping by to show @Anti-Matter something I got delivered today, since I know he likes these kind of games.
Planning to play once the chores and dinner prep is done. The patch color is a little off due to the lighting in my bedroom, the colors are accurate in person
I'm totally maining Smurfette!
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
@EllaTheKawaiiNeko
Do it yourself!! <- comfy story about a super chill girl who happens to be too clumsy to hold a hammer, but she still joins DIY club
Digimon ghost game <- a series of ghost/youkai stories told through digimon. Funny characters, kinda dark
Mahjong Soul <- got 12 minutes for a series? Quick but really fun
I try to only recommend fanservice free anime but if something is not pure enough, I'm sorry
Bring me the sesame, miso, citrus and pepper flavored fish cakes
Switching back to one of my old profile pictures for now since the holidays are pretty much done.
@Sunsy Wow that's cool to hear! Didn't know it became the #1 rental of 2020. I agree for sure, going to a theater is always a nice thing to do, especially if it's a movie that you're really looking forward to, or if it's one of your favorites. Saw that you made your signature, looks like it's inspired by an earlier post that I made. Yep I'm happy that Team Sweet won! I'd celebrate with cake, but I'll need to wait for my birthday for that, lol.
@Tyranexx Whoa, lucky you - my college didn't have any game design/development programs whatsoever! Just your typical computer science courses. That's cool you like the business side of coding. Perhaps I'll try to program again for fun during my free time... I still have my old assignments which I should take a look at since it's been a long time since I've done C++.
Thank you - I'm happy that my team got the sweet taste of victory... pun intended!

Favorite games: Super Mario 3D World, Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Playing: Super Mario Galaxy 2
Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
Smurfs Kart is really good. Between Mission Vileaf and this game, it feels good to be a Smurfs fan with some great Smurfs games. Love the addition of the Lost Village Smurfs in Smurfs Kart. Only real downside is "smart-steering" is on by default, so had to switch it off.
Look kids, I had to play Super Mario Kart driving on dirt when I first played. I don't need smart-steering, all I need is Lakitu giving me angry looks to get me to drive properly lol.
@Sunsy Honestly if 1. I wasn't trying to stay away from buying multiplayer centric games unless I know I'll like them and 2. Didn't have a significant backlog, I'd probably be more apt to try Splatoon...and Animal Crossing for that matter lol.
Alrighty, Splatoon does have single player story mode. I usually play Turf War online, IIRC, single player tells a story and is about completing tasks.
Please, my Animal Crossing residents always are shocked when I return. I like it, but I don't play it as much.
@Sunsy to be fair if I remember the movie correctly it was the threat of hugging that coaxed branch into becoming a valuable member of society. Maybe it would work on internet trolls too
Bad guys is also on the list I haven’t seen it yet but the trailer alone looks amazing. Dreamworks is despite a few hiccups here and there like shark tale feels like thier trying. Sure they get beat out by Sony quality wise but we only get a great animated sony film every other year.
It’s just pure creativity animation as an art form is very malleable. I see no reason a franchise has to stick to a single artstyle. Take shreck and trolls. There was no reason for dreamworks to revitalize puss in boots 2’s animation. The 2012 movie looked good enough they really didn’t need to give it a visual upgrade. In fact messing with the artstyle could have upset hardcore shreck fans because the internet can get mad about literally anything. However it paid off the visuals of puss 2 are incredible complimenting one of DW’s best stories. Or take trolls a I’d say fairly chaotic energetic franchise. Messing with the animation and artstyle just allows for the animators to convey the movie’s energy in a meta way. It’s like thier winking at the audience and saying yeah we are creative. Basically thier pushing the boundaries of animation without necessarily doing trough pure technology like pixar.
I always forget about MVTM because it kind of dropped on Netflix unceremoniously. It was great fun and I should rewatch it a dozen times. It deserves way more credit than it gets
I love inside out. My problem is it has lead to the family guy/Rick and Morty paradox. Basically something new and original comes out. I’ll take Rick and Morty because I haven’t really seen that much family guy and I don’t really want to. When rick and morty first came out it was a breath of fresh air everyone loved it. Rick and Morty would be the show to break the slump adult animation found itself in. And then the clones came some good like solar opposites and Inside Job but most garbage. Rick and morty is No longer some neich show ripping apart adult animation it’s the blueprint all poorly made adult animated shows like Farzar follow. And that makes rick and morty less appealing. And the slump of adult animation rick and morty was supposed to pull us out of was caused by family guy clones. The same thing happened here Inisde out is great I love it it’s just that it becomes a less interesting idea every time Pixar or Disney copies it. Still a great movie though. It’s just what happens shreck became popular suddenly every crappy animated movie for the next 10 years was an irreverent take on fairy tales. But Inside Out is a great movie I love it and hope the sequel is good.
Someone should try hug time on internet trolls, lol
Hope you enjoy The Bad Guys when you get around to it, really good movie. Funnily I've seen Shark Tale and it's the only DreamWorks movie I really don't have much memory of, whereas Trolls, Madagascar, Shrek, and Mr. Peabody and Sherman always stand out to me. I still love Sony made Smurfs: The Lost Village, was really happy they kept that one faithful to source material. While Sony didn't make it, the 2021 Smurfs cartoon adopts from it.
Yeah, the Internet gets mad over a lot of things, but I'm glad it worked out for Puss In Boots 2. That is great they push animation. BTW, I might get to see Puss In Boots 2. My friend mentioned to me the other day he wants to see the movie, so if he goes, I might be able to tag along. Plus the new intro gives me excuse to see Poppy on the big screen again in that intro, lol. Seriously want to see it.
Mitchell's vs. The Machines is an amazing movie.
Wow, also that timing, my friend was just telling me something about Rick and Morty over the phone. Surprisingly, I have yet to see that show, my friend and brother has seen it though.
@Sunsy
Oh, the game have the stickers inside ?
Looks neat.
Yup, it included two sticker sheets and a Papa Smurf patch as extras. This is the "Turbo Edition" of the game. As for the game itself, it's great. The game had smart steering on by default, so I had to turn it off. Aside from that, great Mario Kart alternative IMO.

Yeah, it did really well in 2020, so well that DreamWorks greenlit a third Trolls movie. Not much is known about it, they did announce it in late 2021, with a November 17, 2023 release date. Going by their official social media post. Indeed. Yup, I had to do that, I pretty much am the resident Trolls fan here. Enjoy the cake and your birthday when the time comes.
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Yeah. I really hope it's explained later on, and I hope the big DLC is closer to Torna than FC in terms of quality. Also, thanks for the heads up.
