Earthquakes are uncommon where I live and are very rarely felt. I experienced one when I was in high school (2008). The main event was just after 4:30 in the morning and was enough to wake me and my siblings up (parent slept right through it lol). It registered at a 5.2 on the Richter Scale. I didn't live close to the epicenter (~2 hours), but the soil and bedrock composition in this part of the Midwest means those shock waves can be felt over greater distances. There were multiple aftershocks, the largest of which occurred later that morning (4.6) while I was in study hall.
I'm so, SO glad I wasn't drinking anything when I read this. XD
@MarioLover92 Getting hooked on certain games is one reason why I don't play games online often where multiplayer is involved. I'm happy to make the occasional exception like with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but those don't occur often unless the session is planned or I have a few minutes to burn lol. I'd really like to play couch co-op with people IRL in some games, but that unfortunately doesn't happen often. I can't speak for any of the Persona games, but I highly, HIGHLY recommend Xenoblade Chronicles 3 when you feel up to playing it. I'm certain I'm over halfway through the game and probably would've finished it by now if I didn't keep getting sidetracked by the side stuff.
@Sunsy Clifford was definitely a fun book series, as impossible as it is for a living dog to reach that size. XD I liked some of the books when he was a puppy too. The 2000s cartoon was actually done really well IMO. Some recognizable VAs lent their talents to the series too. I really enjoy My Hero Academia. If you're into superheroes (and villains) with a unique spin, you should enjoy it. Think of it as Xavier's School of Gifted Youngsters, anime style.
I COMPLETELY agree on greasy game controllers. I don't eat when I game (This leads to mindless overeating anyway), and it drives me crazy when people can somehow deal with the leavings of grease, salt, sugar, etc. on their things. I do use lint-free cloths to wipe my things down too, sometimes dampened for screens. Usually it's just me who handles my things, so sanitizing items wasn't really a problem at the height of the pandemic. On a friend request: Sure! Go ahead and send if I don't have you already.
@Kermit1 Nope, not for me either. The plane could just as well fly up higher and deliver me straight to heaven.
I've actually done a skydive, it was a few years ago. I remember seeing the ground (10k feet below) so far away and before I know it I'm tumbling out of the plane and my heart just leaps into my throat. You know how when you trip your heart goes into your mouth? Imagine that constantly for two minutes. Wind's in your face, you can't even feel anything... I could barely believe I was falling, it felt like riding a really fast motorbike or a boat with the speed. I've really picked up on thrilling stuff lately so I ain't ruling out doing it again.
@Tyranexx@Kevesilanz I just plugged all your previous usernames into my algorithm to predict your next one! I'll happily drink to that.
