@Fizza Don’t see any of them, go see Top Gun: Maverick instead! Sonic 2’s good, Doctor Strange is alright, but neither of them are upper tier films. Top Gun is!

6 responses for me in this thread alone - I'm Mr. Popular tonight, lol!

@reporterdavid It is a good looking game for sure, plus the Mario Strikers games have quite the unique art style compared to many other Mario games. (They mainly sport a cute and whimsical style, which I do love.) It's a lot "cooler," for one thing!

@TheJGG It ultimately depends on the players you're matched up with when you start playing online. Some lobbies are reasonably chill which nets me some easy wins, while other lobbies have the other players seemingly target me so I wouldn't stand a chance! I sometimes go to look for another lobby if my race rating starts to drain considerably.

@Sunsy Nice! That was a cool surprise to get an eShop card from your mom. I did consider Kirby Planet Robobot earlier, so I might get that. Especially since a physical copy is like $5 more and that the 3DS and Wii U eShops are gonna be going away next year, as we all know.

Awesome to see you loved it. I never saw Trolls, I might see it at some point since I do know you like it. The only DreamWorks movies I recall seeing are Shrek and its immediate sequel.

Flight of the Conchords is a good show for sure, especially if you're into music. It only lasted for two seasons, so it is a short but sweet series. It is for mature audiences, just so you know.

Likewise - I'd love to play you two again.

@tekoii Yeah - I happened to watch a few videos on the advanced drifting and I did learn quite a bit. And I seriously thought I knew everything about Mario Kart 8! Thanks - yes, everything takes practice, so hopefully I'll get soft drifting down sooner or later!

@Anti-Matter Ah ok, if you're getting enjoyment out of the Kinect, that's great to hear! It just didn't really interest me by the time it originally came out. The PS Move didn't interest me that much either, I will admit. Which is pretty much why I stuck with the Wii. I know I had kind of a strong opinion in regards to the Kinect, but that's really just my own, personal thoughts - I don't expect others to have the same opinions as I do.

I don't know, honestly...probably at some point. I mostly play the Nintendo Switch these days.

@Tyranexx Ouch...really sorry to hear those stings of yours. Those jellyfish that I've mentioned are in saltwater. I never got stung by one, but my younger brother unfortunately has. I could already tell that it was real painful, it was back when he was like 5. Felt real bad for him! I've come across bumblebees, but I think it's the only bee I've come across. Ah yeah, I've heard horror stories about Africanized bees...I'm thankful to be in an area where they're not around. I do know that they're very easily provoked.

Oh, I do want to add to that drawing discussion with you and @Sunsy. That's the one thing that gets me about drawing, sometimes I would like mess up certain parts like the hands, or something like that. I have been trained to draw in a more realistic style, as well as drawing what I'm physically seeing without any photographs - if possible, of course! I really should draw more often.

@TheJGG @MarioLover92 It's weird, I've seen more aggressive players in the 2 months the MK8 Deluxe wave 1 DLC has been present than in the rest of the 8 years since the Wii U version's launch (MK8 on Wii U launched May 30th 2014).

Watching Obi Wan, are there any Star Wars fans here?

@WoomyNNYes allright, yes the new Top Gun shot in real airplanes , no green screens (for as far as I know). @Snatcher @TheJGG didnt knew that this was the second one.

@MarioLover92 yeah. i made the decision not to buy it at this point.
@Sunsy allright never played it. to be that good might take ages (last word in reverse )

@Snatcher @Kermit1 Similar situation. Sometimes I need to do something slowly to learn it properly. Sometimes it's like "oh no, I need to do this, and had no plan going into it." I love to cook, but it can be frustrating trying to make something when you didn't plan to. Or something new, and it doesn't come out right the first time.

Sometimes, on hot days or busy days, I just like to make something simple due to the day being busy, or me being in an air conditioned room.

@MarioLover92 Yeah, grabbed Earthbound last night. Didn't play it, but just to have it there too. Sounds like a plan, enjoy the game when you get it.

Alrighty. Thought I'd ask since you also like animated movies. Just thought I mention the first movie since it's musical, but also a story about finding happiness and it has heart to it. Yeah, I've seen the first Shrek, Over the Hedge, and Mr. Peabody and Sherman before Trolls. Since watching Trolls and its sequel, I wanted to watch more of DreamWorks stuff. Honestly, I liked all their movies I've seen so far (the ones I watched anyway).

Oh ok. I do watch some live action stuff, just not as much as animated stuff.

@reporterdavid I see what you did there.

The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!

jedgamesguy

@Grumblevolcano I'd imagine it's because of renewed interest in the game after the DLC came out. More people are playing it and therefore more "aggressive" players are on it.

@reporterdavid You'd be forgiven for assuming it was a standalone movie! The original came out in 1986 after all.

@korosanbo Sonic All Star Racing Transformed (since were are talking about Mario Kart). Yep. To take this good takes ages... ahum

Oh, boy.
I was browsing again PS3 games library from internet and I have registered more than 70 titles. 😃
My target is reaching 80 PS3 games.
I have to consider another 20 PS3 games with some potential yet still safe to play for kids and teenager.
Some titles I considered such as Sorcery (Move), Kung Fu Rider (Move), Eyepet & Friends, Planet 51, Rapala Pro Bass Fishing, etc.
Well, a lot of obscure titles but I saw some potential from them.

Been crossing my fingers for a Crash Team Racing sequel. And hopefully they'll have enough foresight to not have three 50 second load screens between online races. With 300 hours in both MK8 and CTR, I would rather keep racing CTR online (if it wasn't for CTR's load screens).

It's definitely interesting how all of MK8's competitors have ended up having big problems in some way that has meant MK8 is the main racing game for nearly 10 years. CTR massively reduced Team Sonic Racing's playerbase by launching only a month later, multiple issues with Activision means franchises like Crash are dead (CoD's the only franchise that survived), Chocobo GP focused too much on microtransactions and was too close to MK8 Deluxe DLC, Disney Speedstorm seems to have the same problems as Chocobo GP, etc.

Shiny Galarian Yamask in Shield after 1903 encounters!

This was both incredibly painful yet also incredibly fun. I somehow managed to phase on a random Rhyperior in the Isle of Armor whilst farming Apricorns which, as you can imagine, was a wild experience. I am so happy to finally have my Yamask though and I definitely would encourage anyone with a moderate interest in shiny hunting to do random encounters at least once. I named them Clay as a double pun of both the material it's made of and.... something that's a bit more obvious if you think about it long enough.

@Grumblevolcano
Well, I played other kart racing games like Team Sonic Racing PS4, Cars 3 PS4 (Disney Pixar), Cars 2 PS3 (Disney Pixar), Skylanders Superchargers Wii U, F1 Race Stars PS3, Modnation Racers PS3, racing games from Go Vacation Wii / Switch, My Sims Racing Wii, etc, not just only Mario Kart games.
I didn't see any problem from those kart racing games as their presence are the diversity of kart racing games, not even a competitor of Mario Kart games.

@Fizza
I personally never understand the hype of hunting the shiny Pokemon as I saw some shiny Pokemons have worse color palettes than original and I prefer their original color than shiny colors.
Yokai Watch games have alternative color palettes Yokai like shiny Pokemons but they can be obtained way easier than shiny Pokemon (no gambling found) as they are registered as individual Yokai with different name and different rank.

Also, I want to give my thought about the games from 7th gen machines (Wii, PS3, XBOX 360).
I think I'm agree with the opinion that said 7th gen games were like experimental games with a lot of trial and error which some new ideas were success, some of them really flopped.
Wii success with motion play made Sony and Microsoft lost their focus and they added their experimental games like Wii with their gimmick.
Move on PS3 was like better version of Wiimote but there aren't so many Move games with appealing ideas than Wii games.
Kinect games on XBOX 360 was like HD version of Eye Toy PS2 games with some of the games were nailed, the other was really flopped.
Both Move and Kinect games are really decent than Wii games with more diversity in using Wiimote to play the games.
I personally like this idea from 7th gen games despite I felt their games don't really have very strong value than games from 8th gen (PS4) and 9th gen (Switch, PS5) with better ideas without too many gimmicks like 7th gen games.
After I registered more PS3 games on my list, I found a lot of my PS3 games are very obscure games with experimental ideas like Move games or very underrated games from non popular things.
