@Kermit1 the storm has passed but it was a severely violent thunderstorm and apparently a tornado hit a few spots (not us). I'm actually west of Ottawa on the Quebec side but it hit us before moving to the city......many trees down and in the city, power poles snapped and fell. Looks like power will be out for a good while for a lot of people. Some people suffered significant damage.

We got lucky, no damage to our property and we have power back already but we also have a generator to run the necessities if needed (like the water pump, the fridge/freezer and an extension cord).

@cordova94 wow, that sounded crazy, thankfully you're okay, and I just saw a video with the tornado and it looked crazy...

@cordova94 I think they're making those Namco Museum collections for their arcade games. Would be neat to see a Pac-Man World collection of some kind though.

Oh, and jeez...really sorry to hear about what you had to witness. That does sound terrifying indeed! Hope you two are ok, at least! I did go through a similar storm some years ago - we drove from my college campus that one night, and bam - a severe storm hit, and the tree branches even hit our car. We had to stop at a nearby convenience store until the storm simmered down. Fortunately, we didn't get hurt - we were all fine and dandy in the end, but man...that was scary!

@MarioLover92 I felt I owed some of the older Kirby games some attention, plus I don't want FL to make it harder to go back to them lol. I recommend playing base XC2 before Torna since the latter spoils a few things in that game.

As for the nature trails, we get all you mentioned here as well, depending on the season. There are enough squirrels to round up an army. XD Geese are rare since there's mostly just a river and creek, but they like hanging out elsewhere at local ponds. Same with other water-loving birds, like ducks and herons.

@BruceCM You're parents fit into the category where I wouldn't mind recommending satellite internet. I try to recommend what people should get based on their needs. I'm the default "computer nut" in my family, so I field a lot of questions. XD

@Sunsy Ah, yes, compiling. An essential, occasionally frustrating, yet ultimately rewarding part of development. I deal with this a lot with my job, though I confess it's been years since I delved in game development. Working through errors can be time consuming, but that moment when everything just works....I've heard of GIMP and seen it in action, though I've personally never used it. I'm too spoiled by MS Paint and all its modern iterations.

@MarioLover92 @Kermit1 @Eel, thanks guys! Apparently there is a name for it, it's called a Derecho. Wild. Everything has passed now. I wasn't sure if I should have pulled over rather than driving it but the highway near me is kind of exposed because of farm fields and with the transformers blowing and my daughter in the back, I was like "ok honey, sing me a song" and I just prayed to whoever to get me home because that seemed to be the most protected option. Once we got there, I got to go on the back porch and enjoy the storm on the tin roof though. I love that. My daughter talked about the "fire" for the rest of the evening.......she does the same when my husband lights the wood stoves.......I'm starting to wonder if I should worry. hahah

@Kermit1, I love that car. You might even pull me out of my Jeep for that (I've never owned anything but Jeeps.)

@cordova94 Fun fact about the car is it's an all electric from the 70s and you sit on the battery (free seat warmer lol)

Will be getting together for another weekend of D&D tomorrow. It's unusual that our group can get together so frequently but everything is just lining up schedule wise.

I have cleaned up my bedroom, moved my unused bags and things to house store room, provide 2 spaces for my XBOX + XBOX 360 games, PS1 + PSP and Wii leftover games on my shelf to prepare XBOX 360 machine at home.

Their internet is good enough for what they do, though, @Tyranexx .... It's bundled with the landline they like, living in a bit of a mobile blackspot

Yesterday, I found something very funny yet ironic at the same time to see a PS2 box with Super Mario pictures on it + In Theaters 2022. 🤣

What a fraud to deceive customers by telling them if there is newest Mario games on PS2.
Well, this is my country Indonesia, land of pirated games and hacked machines + games.

So, what do you think is sold in those PS2 boxes? A PS2 clone console? Or something worse, like a weird bogus console, with no relevance to PS2?

@Anti-Matter First off... it's already outdated! Since the Mario movie's coming out in Q1 2023 now, that is. Interesting box art though; it looks like it tried to play homage to Star Wars.

Here is the thing in my country.
There are a lot of recondition PS2 machines with every parts taken from old PS2 machines, polished like new, hacked for playing pirated PS2 games (or even hacked PS2 games) by HDD, given a fake cover of PS2 box with random famous games and the unfortunate peoples who have no idea about gaming world will think there are some "new" PS2 machines.
And to see Mario on PS2 cover box, just showed how hungry and so desperate the Indonesian peoples for wanting Mario on PlayStation machines so bad and I have ever found fake PS2 games with Mario on cover, labeled with random age rating (Teen LOL) and I have no idea how could it possible to play pirated Mario games on PS2 by pirated disc.
Just look at this cover.

Wow, I never knew there was Super Mario All Stars made by Sony on PS2 and the game was rated Teen. 🤣🤣🤣
I wonder what is the reaction the unfortunate peoples who bought fake Mario games and found it was a fraud.

Well, so sad my country Indonesia. 😔
They still selling pirated PS2 and Wii games by disc, offering a service to install PS2, PS3, even PS4, Switch and every single video games onto machine with Jailbreak / CFW. These are the thing you will find in my country Indonesia.
But don't worry.
There are a lot of good seller also selling original games and original machines so the games collector can get the original games and machines legally.

Oh, I will get XBOX 360 Slim machine very soon.
But forgive me.... I have to get XBOX 360 with RGH on it, just to bypass region lock only. 😣
But All my XBOX 360 games are original. 🤓
So I have to get into grey area for OG XBOX and XBOX 360 machines (free region mod but original games). 😅
