Well, around town generally, most areas have been switched to fibre already, @Tyranexx .... So it's slightly surprising that these places hadn't been already
Around here, there's definitely plenty of competition for broadband providers, so that helps motivate them
Tales of Vesperia is great & Origami King is pretty good, although since you haven't just brought them you presumably aren't ever going to play them, either?
Just in case you guys aren't aware, for the 3DS and Wii U eShops, we will no longer have the option to add funds from a credit card on May 23. And on August 29, we won't be able to redeem eShop cards. Friendly reminder for you all - be sure to get the games you want from those eShops before Nintendo pulls the plug on them! Here's a link to Nintendo Everything's article on it.
@Sunsy I played Kirby Super Star for a bit too, I had some progress in and I finished the entirety of Revenge of Meta Knight. Got some easy platinum coins from that.
Thanks, I'll let you know my thoughts when I see it! That's cool. I never saw Phineas and Ferb, I remember being more into Cartoon Network shows back when I was in my early 10s.
@tekoii Yeah, I don't play with items too often, and that actually helps me focus more on the battle itself. I haven't played too much of Smash but I'm down for it when I have the time.
@Tyranexx Ah yeah, I remember those days...a lot of shooters were rather colorless back then and they weren't very appealing to me either. I did try out Call of Duty 2 on the 360 (it wasn't Modern Warfare 2, just so you know), played a bit of the campaign mode, and I didn't get very far in it. So I didn't exactly dig it. I didn't play much of the 360 back in the day.
Yeah, I never play Mario games for the plot either. Just for the fun, inventive levels, power-ups, and the like. Loved how 3D World has that much playable characters, too, Peach is one of my favorites to play as since her floating ability really comes in handy!

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
Have a nice day. Voiceactor: The Pirates! (Sony/Aardman 2012) - The Passion: A Brickfilm (Neema 2019) - The Torchlighters: The Story of John Newton (Vision Video 2022) - [NEW] Minno's Laugh and Grow Bible (Minno - 2024)
@MarioLover92 Thanks for the reminder. I have a few months as I usually use eShop cards (or codes in Amazon's case) on all my Nintendo systems. Still have some eShop credit left on both 3DS and Wii U, will probably get a few more cards before the August 29th cut off date. Also keeping an eye on sales, in event a game I wanted goes on sale.
Ooh nice. I completed the Gourmet Race last time I played. Will admit, it's nice for some quick platinum points. Though I did use a good chunk of them on Zelda Picross and Flipnote 3D because of a looming shutdown.
Please do, though it's been awhile since watching Mary Poppins Returns. Phineas and Ferb was a great show, it aired between 2008-2013. It was about these brothers home for summer, and they do extraordinary things, like building their own roller coaster, or a beach in their backyard, and a wacky side story of their pet platypus being a secret agent, and their sister Candace, who is always trying to tell mom the kind of things they do. Was one of my favorites, and I was reminded the other day it has an exclusive Disney+ movie.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
@Sunsy Phineas and Ferb was my childhood show and the only show I watched on Disney channel. Mainly because (and I thank my parents for never letting me watch them) the Dis-coms, (not true sitcoms) showed the parents of the shows dumb and ""blind"" while the kids were smart and clever and could do anything without major help.
@MarioLover92
Man...
I have last chance to add 3DS eshop fund with 12 digit voucher until 29 August 2022.
I will spend $ 50 to buy Yokai Watch 3 USA digital version for $ 40 if the price still haven't changed and for $ 10 remaining, I think I will spend for Megaman Network 6 on Wii U VC.
I cannot pick all Megaman Network GBA VC since I have never played those games before and I don't want be a victim of FOMO (Fear of Missing One) that lead me to buy all the Megaman Network without thinking so I will pick one version that I think the best choice.
I think I still have a chance to get Megaman Network GBA in legit cartridge from Tokopedia.
Speaking about 3rd party games, I have finished two new released 3rd party games Epic Chef PS4 and Dodgeball Academia PS4.
It was such a fun experience to explore new games from 3rd party developers as mostly they bring different ideas and I like to adapt with their new gameplay and I quickly learnt from them.
How about you?
What upcoming / have been released recently 3rd party games that you have interest to play ?
Are you sure you don't want to try some have been released 3rd party games such as Youtubers Life 2 or Kitaria Fables or Cat Quest II or the games I have finished recently ?
They are still cartoonish enough and I'm sure you will like them.
I know you like Mario games a lot and I can see you keep discussing any Mario games from different machines to Sunsy or other users who have same interest with Mario games.
Here is a thing about me.
Despite I like Nintendo games, but I still have low interest with Mario games to be honest as I don't hold my attention toward Mario games for very long time so I tend to get distracted by other games when I played Mario games.
Even I still haven't continued my Super Mario Galaxy 2 Wii with latest progress already reached World 5. Maybe I still have some fatigue with some Mario games, to think how difficult some of Mario games, it made me thinking about other games that I could engage seriously.
I admitted Mario games are fun to play but some of Mario games were pretty hard like Mario Galaxy and i didn't really enjoy with game design like that. I still like to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe but I don't play that game everyday since I am a gamer who have more curiosity for new 3rd party games.
Yeah, I still have tendency became PlayStation gamer since PS1 and PS2 games have shaped my gaming experiences during my teenhood and college age, yet I still keep maintaining my Nintendo gamer side on certain games.
Oh, about XBOX 360 that you suddenly mentioned from your reply to Tyranexx, I have a plan to get XBOX 360 next month in early June 2022 from my local game shop with Kinect sensor to play Kinect games, DDR UNIVERSE 1 - 3, Fusion Frenzy 2, Zoo Tycoon since I only like these games from XBOX 360. I think I have to get XBOX 360 with RGH on it since I have difficulty to find non modded XBOX 360 machine in USA region since I need the USA machine to play DDR UNIVERSE 1 - 3 as those games are strictly Region locked and only playable on USA machine, so I have no choice but go down with Grey area side (RGH) just only to bypass Region lock but all my XBOX 360 games are legit genuine copies, no pirated disc at all.
@Snatcher
From Disney Channel during year 2004 - 2006 era, I have ever watched Kim Possible and this special episodes (and have DVD and Blu Ray release as well) I like the most (the third part in the future when Shego ruled over the world and I saw adult version of Jim and Tim Possible with muscular body and handsome looking, not gonna lie I have crushed on them. And the muscular Dr Drakken was pretty interesting too)
@Anti-Matter Mario, hm. well, there should be a follow up for galaxy/ odyssey or something like that in my oppinion. or a "super nintendo world" game, or maby one based on the upcoming movie.
@reporterdavid
I have some Mario games in my collection such as Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 on Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Kart 7 3DS, Super Mario 3D Land 3DS, Super Mario 3D World Wii U, Super Mario Odyssey Switch, Mario Kart 8 on Wii U and Switch, Paper Mario Sticker Stars 3DS, Paper Mario Color Splash Wii U, New Super Mario Bros U + Luigi U on Wii U.
But, I don't hold my attention with Mario games for very long as I still prefer 3rd party games with more diversity than Mario games.
@korosanbo
I still have some interest with Mario games as you can see from my Mario games collection so far but I have very low interest to engage with Mario games as platformer Mario games felt pretty difficult to play than other platformer games by 3rd party developers so that's why I like 3rd party games more than Mario games.
About Dodgeball Academia.
I have finished the game yesterday.
It was pretty short, I finished the game in 13 hours accumulation.
And here is one thing.
You can adjust the difficulty setting and make the game become extremely super easy by adjusting Damage taken = 0% and Damage dealt = 100% so that means I will not taking any damage from my opponents but I still able to deal 100% damage toward opponents.
And you can buy a lot of drinks with permanent parameter upgrades (Strength, Agility, Technique) and EXP boost drinks at the end of chapter so you can easily level up your team to maximum level (level 50) with no sweat.
And the best thing, there was a mini game in school toilet where you can farming easy $15.00 each attempts so you can buy superior drinks to upgrade your team without having dodgeball battle and beating them just easy peasy like they cannot even harm me with setting damage taken = 0%. Even the Final Boss Nino with 999 HP was like a fly. 😁
I think the game developer was smart enough to provide the difficulty setting that you can adjust as you like and provide easy to level up items for casual players.
I gave 7/10 for Dodgeball Academia.
@Sunsy No problem. I linked my NNID to my Nintendo Account so I should be able to add funds no matter what, it just has to be on the Switch after August, IIRC. I might get the Golden Sun games from the Wii U eShop, I did see that the first game takes about 20 hours to finish, with the second taking 30 hours.
That's cool, Gourmet Race is a pretty fun distraction from the main games. That Zelda Picross was one of the first things I got from My Nintendo, and I got Flipnote Studio 3D for free when Club Nintendo shut down.
Will do. Thanks for telling me about it, I have heard it's one of the better Disney Channel shows from that era. I know I've seen stuff like Chip 'n Dale and Gargoyles, but hardly anything made after the 90s. I know, I'm kind of old. lol
@Anti-Matter Ok that sounds like a good plan, that one's easier to finish from my past experience. That's good you liked Epic Chef and Dodgeball Academia. Ah yeah, going by my wish list on Nintendo's website, there are actually some games I've been meaning to get but just didn't get around to. I wanna give Bug Fables a shot, that's an indie game that's supposed to play like the older Paper Mario games. There's also stuff like Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon, Streets of Rage 4, and Golf Story. I wanna get Layer Section/Galactic Attack too, that's an awesome Sega Saturn shmup that just released on Switch, but it's too pricey for what it is I think. I'm curious about that that new Ninja Turtles game coming out too, wonder if that one's gonna be any good.

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
@MarioLover92
Oh, speaking about Street of Rage 4 and other Beat em up games, I have successfully purchased 99 Vidas from Switch eshop with price $ 1.99 from huge sale time (I really wish getting 99 Vidas in physical release but the price on Ebay was really inflated) and I like the SNES style of Beat em up games from 99 Vidas which every characters have their magical elemental (Fire, Water, Lightning, Rock, etc).
I think i will look for Cobra Kai for alternative Beat em Up games in 3D models.
@Kermit1 Awesome to see it's part of your childhood, it's a great show that wasn't like most Disney Channel shows were.
@Anti-Matter Kim Possible was awesome! I was late to the party, and Disney Channel had the show on at 1 AM, so I had to DVR it at the time to watch it as I would be asleep.
@MarioLover92 Sounds like a plan. I got a total of three eShop cards for my birthday last month, so I put one on each of my three systems. I am leaning towards the New 3DS version of Earthbound to just have it, but waiting to see if any wishlist games go on sale. Last big purchase I made on 3DS was Pokemon Yellow.
Cool, yeah I figured I'd just redeem them just because of the shutdown. Will admit, I'm gonna miss themes. Still love the Amy Rose theme and the Frozen theme with Anna and Elsa. Saddens me Disney removed their themes, the Anna and Elsa theme was fitting, especially since I have an Anna and Elsa 3DS XL case.
You and me both, a lot of Disney cartoons I remember from my childhood. Phineas and Ferb was definitely a great show from its time, and that movie for Disney+ lived up to it IMHO. Still do like a lot of cartoons that are on the kid friendly side, even as an adult, but it's always been my preferred kind of entertainment to watch when I watch TV or movies. If you ever give Phineas and Ferb a watch, enjoy it, it's a clever show.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
@roy130390 To be frank, I'm not sure when I'll get to Tales of Vesperia either lol. I was in one of those "grab it before it's rare" moods. I'm a lapsed Digimon fan, I was all in the series back in the day until 1. I became busy with college, 2. the series moved networks (No cable at the time = no Cartoon Network/Toonami, though I'd occasionally find subbed episodes online), and 3. Digimon Fusion. I didn't hate Fusion or anything, but I felt it was a concept that had been done before and missed Digivolution. I know they added it in later, but I'd secured a job + was finishing college at that point.
I still need to watch the Digimon Adventure Tri movies. While Tamers/Season 3 will always be my favorite, Seasons 1 & 2 are close runners-up.
@Sunsy Wow! After all these years? It's crazy some of the random things I recall from my childhood, and I suppose that's one of them in your memory. Most of my school computers were strictly PC other than an old Apple II or III we had at my elementary school in the day. We did have Mac laptops when I was in high school that couldn't leave a computer lab outside of special circumstances. I don't recall what Mac OS version they had, but they could dual boot to Windows 7 via Bootcamp. This caused some problems down the line.
@BruceCM I'm in an area of the US where fiber is catching on, but it's slow going since many areas are predominantly rural; the ISPs usually need some incentive/interest. I lucked out since my ISP ran the line right through my yard a couple of years ago in order to satisfy a school district's fiber contract.
Origami King will hopefully be sooner rather than later. Tales of Vesperia...will be at some point. As mentioned above, I was in a "grab them before they vanish" mood.
@MarioLover92 I had a cousin with a 360, didn't get over there a lot, and TBH most of their games didn't interest me since they were of the sport or shooty-bang-bang variety. However, that was the console where I got to experience the original Assassin's Creed. Despite the meh AI, I enjoyed my time with it and got maybe 2/3 the way through it. I also played The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, though I didn't make it far in that at all since I was busier with AC lol. I mostly just minded my aunt and uncle's place and pets while they were on vacation, so half the time I was busy doing chores instead lol.
I'll be honest: I'm not the biggest fan of Peach and much prefer Rosalina in terms of Mario ladies. Daisy isn't bad either, just kinda one-note and stuck to spinoffs these days. That said, her float ability is indeed quite useful in Super Mario 3D World, so I was fine with playing as her on occasion. All the playable characters also look quite adorable in the cat suit!
@Tyranexx
Speaking about XBOX 360, I will try to get XBOX 360 machine in early June 2022 from my game shop with Kinect sensor to play Kinect games, DDR UNIVERSE 1 - 3, Fuzion Frenzy 2, Zoo Tycoon as I only like those games from XBOX 360.
The Kinect games on XBOX 360 was like the best moment from Microsoft to cater casual / family oriented games like Wii games.
There were Nintendogs / Nintenpets style game on XBOX 360 such as Kinectimals by Microsoft, Fantastic Pets by THQ.
There were some Wii Sports clones on XBOX 360 such as Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports 1 & 2, Kinect Joy Ride, Big League Sports by Activision, etc.
Kinect games on XBOX 360 have more diversity than PS3 Move games from the comparison I saw.
But too bad, Microsoft discontinued Kinect and back to their old style business with fps games all the time. I never like games like that (and will never want to play games like that) and it just limiting the genre diversity and the games choices. Not everyone have interest in shooter games.
