@Tyranexx Oh I agree for sure, they should have more locations than just NYC. I think Tokyo has a Nintendo store of their own as well...but that's kind of it. I sure did! That's actually good, sure you may get dishes that don't exactly sit well with your taste buds, but there may be other dishes that will. Not to mention your taste buds may change later on, too. Ah yeah, you bring up a great point right there. Me and my mom hopped into a bus for our last NYC trip, and there were quite a few passengers.

Ah, that sounds messed up. Did that happen to both screens or just one of them? Either way, I can tell that's unfun to deal with.

Glad to hear your high school trip was fun at least. Yeah, I think I feel the same way too, I couldn't really sleep during my plane trips when I was returning home. The same day where I had to get up at 4 AM. Mainly because I didn't want to oversleep when I get to my destination. Good to hear you're recovering from your jet lag.

@Sunsy Yes you're pretty much right, it was developed by Amusement Vision - the same guys who made the Super Monkey Ball series. That's actually smart thinking, getting the blu-ray/DVD/digital bundle. Just curious, don't you have to stream digital movies/shows with an internet connection? Unless there's a way to download the whole thing on your computer and stream it from there.

Yes, you should definitely get Super Mario Advance 4! I got it for the e-Reader levels alone. It's the closest thing we'll get to an original Mario platformer on the GBA...even though you can't really take the Wii U anywhere. Unless you bring the console and power cord along with the GamePad, of course. Some of those levels are actually pretty hard, so be ready for a challenge. Getting 8-bit Sonic 1 sounds good too, it's actually my favorite Master System/Game Gear Sonic game. I have the MS version on the Wii VC. I liked Chaos and Triple Trouble as well, but they felt a bit sluggish for my liking.

@Eel That's actually interesting to know, thanks for sharing with us. I have the DSiWare version of WarioWare Touched and I thought it was just the full game without anything taken out from the source code.

Man, the world is crazy somet-Well, pretty much most if not all the time anymore. I don't believe Europe has seen anything like this since WWII. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this insanity.

@TheJGG Don't take that first bit hard; Mechonis Field is one of my favorite gaming tracks, and is very hard to improve on. Still, I did enjoy the piece quite a bit. You did convey the ambience pretty well. Looking forward to that Agniratha cover! That's another good track from XC1.

@Vortexeo No problem at all; I neglected to post an update for some time, due in part to traveling out of state for a few days without my Switch; I was flying and don't trust airports with expensive electronics that are required to be displayed. Thankfully, most of the DS and 3DS families are the size of a phone or smaller, so they can (usually) stay in my luggage.

I did actually run across some comments saying you could cheese the fight with Amalthus in that way, though I didn't look too into it as I wanted to try it on my own lol. Plus, I wasn't sure how to knock the guy into the hole with my current setup. I appreciate the video!

There was a LOT to process with the Architect/Klaus cutscenes; "mindblowing" describes it well. I'm also kinda wondering if that one Guido thing I fought was what was left of Galea/Meyneth in XC2's world (because of the ID), but it could also be a red herring. My hope is to finish the game within the next few days.

@MarioLover92 Yep, I think Tokyo and NYC are the only two physical Nintendo Store locations outside of their global warehouses. The few physical items I've ordered directly came from an address in Redmond, WA where NoA's headquarters are. As for the crowd thing, I can deal with being surrounded by people as long as they aren't intruding into my personal space bubble...which admittedly has larger boundaries than many.

It only happened to the top screen; that OG DS unit was almost a glorified GBA when I traded it in. To be fair, the lower screen had seen better days; I was unaware of screen protectors at the time, plus I played a lot of touch-centric games earlier in the DS's lifespan. It likely didn't help that I got into the Guitar Hero: On Tour series, and the pick stylus in hindsight is probably what somewhat scratched up the lower screen. It still responded to touch, but certain areas of the screen weren't very accurate.

I wish the very best for everyone affected by the invasion as well. This is really, really depressing for sure.

@Tyranexx Oh I see, I guess you've ordered from Nintendo's online store? I recently got a couple My Nintendo rewards from there, I finally got my hands on the platinum and gold coin pin set. I got the Switch game card case too. Ah yeah I recall you saying something like that. It's ok, we all gotta deal with personal space and everything.

Ah I see, so the touch screen at least displayed properly. Yeah, I wouldn't use screen protectors back in those days, and the touch screen on my original DS pretty much got broken. I think my brother had that Guitar Hero game as well. Ahhh, I'm sorry to hear, so the pick stylus must have caused it huh? Didn't know it came with that.

I've had a couple of games from Nintendo's online store & those came from Ireland for whatever reasons.... Not like it really makes much difference to anything, they both arrived with the post on release days

Yeah, it's merely somewhat curious that was where the games came from, @CactusMan .... As long as the stuff gets to me, I don't mind where it comes from! I just wonder why they have some depot there & not anywhere in the rest of the UK

@Tyranexx You know Galea being the infernal guldo is indeed a popular fan theory. It makes a lot of sense to me personally...I mean why else would they show that scene of Rex holding the ID y'know? I wonder if we'll get more insight somehow in Xenoblade 3

Apologies for being a bit late with responses, having too much fun playing Pokemon X.

@Tyranexx I'll say, and I don't even have pirated or fake carts either. The few times I order online, I'm usually careful to avoid fake carts too. Closest I get to emulation are official releases, like the Sega Classics on Steam or the few SNK games I have on GOG, both include files that can even work with their respective emulators (had to do this as DotEmu's own Neo-Geo emulator was choppy for King of Fighters 2002).

@MarioLover92 Yup, that's the developer I remember seeing when I rented the game. Usually I just enter the code into Movies Anywhere, and the movie shows up on my Movies Anywhere app to download or stream, I can also watch it on linked accounts such as YouTube and Vudu. For example, I registered Trolls on Movies Anywhere, and was watching it on my TV using YouTube on Switch, and I also have it downloaded on my phone. It's pretty cool, you can stream or download.

Yeah, that's why I actually want to get it for that e-Reader stuff too. That's why it's a must have on my list. Nice to hear the 8-bit Sonic 1 is one of your favorites, I have Triple Trouble on my 3DS as well, and Sonic Blast and Tails Adventure (both I had as a kid for my actual Game Gear).

The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!

Update: 450 eggs in for Shelmet, still no shiny even with the Shiny Charm. 1/512 odds aren't looking in my favour at the moment.

@Sunsy No worries. Glad you're having a good time with it. Oh that's awesome to hear. I saw that you can download movies from Disney+ to your device as well. That'd especially come in handy for stuff like plane trips.

That's cool. I have most of the Game Boy games from my childhood right on my 3DS, those being Super Mario Land 1 and 2, Donkey Kong '94, and the Game & Watch Gallery games. Plus stuff like the first Wario Land, which I never had until it came out on the 3DS VC. I have Tails Adventure on my 3DS as well, that's the only Game Gear game I have for it.

@MarioLover92 Lmao, who's really good at shine thief anyway.. phooey 🤪 But yea, it'd be great fun to play some battle mode together!!

@WoomyNNYes Ahh.. I actually like the one you now have currently. I know you do like your extreme sports ^^! I mean cmon... we play RL together XD.

@Sunsy OH heck yea. Let's gooo.. FENNEKIN. That's wild. I wish I still had a GBA sp, oh sweet childhood. Yea, I mean I'm just thinking as a Nintendo fanatic and how we would LOVE to have DS or even 3DS games directly supported on Switch. And... DOH! Totally misunderstood, I thought you still had it. I do have clothes from literally a decade ago, so I feel it lol. Oh and do have fun with X, I'd be blasting that 3D

@Tyranexx Yes yes, I hope you had a splendid time And LMAO. "Tsk tsk, too many Core Crystals" That gave me a good laugh. You had a bit of a difficult time with Amalthus? I kinda stomped thru him XD. I do love the whole Amalthus and Jin death scene. Something about Amalthus reaching up asking why he was forsaken and how he misses his mother, really just gives you feels. I know you connected a bit more to Jin's death, which was yea really sad. (Especially once you go through Torna) Again, oppositely, I was surprised by the wasteland that I kinda thought would be the evergreen Elysium they we looking for. YUP. YUP. Crazy cutscene, eh! This cutscene was one of my favorites, the whole concept of a connected world and Klaus' story was a wild ride. At the Finale! Forward to Elysium.. Enjoy Tyra ^^!!

@TheJGG Wow! I quite like it, I enjoy that it has a bit of a different feel to the original. It feels more guitar-y and synthetic. Really cool rendition man, keep the tracks burning(sword?)!

@MarioLover92 I've ordered the occasional physical award over the years, though it isn't common. I also ordered Age of Calamity directly from Nintendo's site when they were running it at a slight discount awhile back. Kinda wish I'd waited since Amazon and Walmart caught wind of that particular sale, so I could've avoided paying for shipping. Oh well. Glad that you finally got your hands on those pin sets! I considered the case but don't need it yet...Maybe once I start collecting secondhand loose carts.

I didn't really like or want to use screen protectors back then, and to an extent I'm still that way; I do use them, but only on touch screens. I don't like how gummy they make the screen look and feel. The first Guitar Hero: On Tour came with that pick stylus and a guitar grip for the GBA slot. Unfortunately, needing that peripheral is why the games can't be played on anything after the DS Lite.

@Vortexeo I have seen that theory floating around since viewing that scene; it's certainly plausible, but nothing explicitly confirms it either. I do hope that XC3 provides more insight. Not only on that tidbit, but other details I'm noticing now that I've practically beaten 2.

@Sunsy When I briefly got into retro GB/GBC/GBA collecting, I was very careful with online orders too. Thankfully, my acquisitions all appear to be legit. Same here on emulation, though once I get a better PC I'll probably emulate a few titles that will likely never make it here (CoughMother3Cough) and a couple of those insane Pokemon ROM hacks out there, like Vietnamese Crystal, TRE, and Prism.

@tekoii Heh, you might wanna wrap some of your reply to me in spoilers since I know another user is playing through the game right now. I was a bit underleveled when it came to Amalthus, but I still think some of his moves are meant to just troll the player. The dude either kept HEALING himself if I couldn't get off Blade combos just right, or killing a member of my party and causing me to deplete some of my gauge to revive them. But that scene full of death really hit home. It was certainly powerful. As for Elysium, this isn't my first JRPG rodeo, so I suspected not all was as it was talked up to be. I went back and rewatched that cutscene with Klaus/The Architect, which definitely helped with mental processing lol. And thanks! Hoping to reach the end credits today.

@Tyranexx GAH! EVERYTIME. lol.. Spoiler tag you won't get me this TIME!.. Anywho, that's interesting that Amalthus is a bit more difficult at a relative level and has such a robust move-set. I didn't know cause I was over-leveled and obliterated him lol. I mean... he has been quite the troll the whole game so the move-set suites XD. A lot of these scenes are why I'd say XC2 is backloaded with some of the more interesting things here at the end. Have a blast with the end It'll be interesting seeing your next reply!

@tekoii That'd be rad. I just played MK8D with a friend of mine tonight. Maybe we could play tomorrow night or so!

@Tyranexx Yeah. There's not nearly as much physical rewards as Club Nintendo, and I think they sell out quickly. Ah I see, that is good you still got it on a discount, at least. I'm glad I got them too - especially the pins!

The only time I used a screen protector was on my Switch, it's one of those glass-tempered ones I think. They're surprisingly really hard to put on. One of the DS games I have, Mega Man ZX, lets you insert either Mega Man Zero 3 or 4 into the GBA slot so you could fight some of those games' bosses in MMZX itself. That's the one feature I lost since I only have my 3DS. I think Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection brought that feature back, if memory serves me correctly.

@MarioLover92 Ayy. I'll see if I can tomorrow.. got a few things to do, specially that big ole Calculus test coming on Monday. But hey if not, we'll find a good time. Be nice if anyone else here wants to join us Some racing and battling sounds like a (bob-omb) blast.

@MarioLover92
I need some suggestion for Megaman Network GBA games that I found from Wii U eshop before they will get removed on next year. I didn't grow up by that series but I was curious with the games recently. To see a lot of version on GBA with Pokemon style (multiple version) I was wondering which version should I get for the easiest and better features.
I cannot take all the Megaman Network GBA games as I only used the eshop fund leftover (probably US$ 10) to buy 1 Megaman Network GBA any version after I will purchase Yokai Watch 3 3DS USA version from 3DS eshop.

@tekoii Ah...your test's after the weekend, huh? It's ok if you're unavailable tomorrow. No pressure whatsoever. Yes, I'd be glad to play Mario Kart with others here, I have quite a few people from the NL boards on my friend list. Best of luck on your calculus test - you got this!

@Anti-Matter I like the Mega Man Battle Network series, it's a pretty solid series overall. I like the cyberspace theme and the battle system. I would recommend playing the games in order since all the games have interconnecting stories. MMBN1 and 2 are standalone games, it wasn't until 3 where they started having two different versions. For MMBN3, I think the blue version is the more polished of the two. For 4, 5, and 6, they have different navis you could use for the Double Souls/Crosses, as well as a different Beast Out form for 6. I'd recommend looking those up to see what they are. Other than that, it ultimately doesn't matter.

Okay, I will check the gameplay of Megaman Network GBA version from series 1 until 6 on YouTube and I only can pick one game since I have never played that game before and I have to make sure I can enjoy the game from the version I can choose.
