@Sunsy I'm glad you're okay and other people were too in that situation. That story sounds awesome though. That sounds like such a cool moment being able to play your GBA cause you have a pair double A's amidst a storm. This makes me think of my recent switch from my Keychron 6 kb to my Logitech K380 which runs on 2 triple A's. The primary reason for the switch is because the K380 is a multi-device keyboard and I need it to also pair to my iPad, so I bought it at $30. Bringing it back though, the power needed to use the keyboard is so minimal it makes the 2 triple A's last for 2 years according to Logi's marketing. Ahh.. and internet cafes are cool and fun, but some of them around me are really shady, and plus these days I'd much rather just game out from home xD.
@MarioLover92 Yea, I'm talking with my bro to see if he would be willing to do a family plan so we can get that discount. I'm pretty much the same when it comes to what we get, I'm really mostly looking forward to the N64 stuff, but the Genesis stuff does look interesting too. It's so dumb that you have to buy the DLC for Animal Crossing separately to keep it. It would have been so much better if they give you the DLC to keep whether or not you maintain your sub or not. I'm not much an AC player these days, but that kind of thing doesn't sound right to me.
@reporterdavid Haven't played it yet. Usually this is the time of year I stop buying games, in event I get something for Christmas. My folks usually give me a game for Christmas. Right now the only game I have to look forward to is Smurfs Mission Vileaf on PC, pre-ordered it on GOG. I do want to play Metroid Dread.
Call it an unpopular opinion, I like the 2D Metroid games more than the Prime series personally. I even bought Metroid Zero Mission on Wii U (actually, it's the #1 game on the Wii U eShop last I checked) and Metroid II on 3DS because of Metroid Dread's announcement.
@tekoii It was, it was useless at night, but at least during the day it kept me entertained while waiting for the power to be turned on. I think I was playing Sonic Advance 3 at the time. Cool, hopefully it will last, I like Logitech. Whenever I bought a mouse by them, it usually lasts at least 5-7 years, that's the basic cheap model too. Hoping to get one of their gaming mice one day.
@Sunsy I think it's pretty even which is preferred, I also prefer 2D Metroid games. By the way, Dread is amazing so I hope that you and anyone interested gets to play it soon. I still can't believe how good it turned out, it makes me so happy as it's my favourite Nintendo franchise.
I have never had any interest with G-Force (Disney) and Tintin before, but recently i have some curiosity with these games on PS3 as part of Wild Card i want to consider for adding my PS3 games.
Any thought about these games ?
Beat the easy route in Star Fox 64 3D tonight for the first time (not really, played the N64 one, but it is the first time on 3DS). My favorite N64 game and one of the first N64 games I've played next to Yoshi's Story. I love this game, one of my all time favorites actually. I even bought it on Wii and Wii U Virtual Console just to play it without hooking up my N64. As someone who hasn't played this one, it's been in the backlog since last year, this is the definitive version of it.
I have no plans to get the Switch Online Expansion Pack, I have the N64 and Genesis games I like to play. But if anyone does get it, I really hope newcomers enjoy this game.
After I beat Metroid Dread, I really should get back to the Metroid Prime games at some point, lol. I definitely like the first one, though I may have to start from scratch since it's been a while since I played it.
@tekoii Yes, the family plan is totally the way to go, because everyone could save, especially when there's the full amount of people and they all pitch in. I'd pay $10 extra for the N64 games, personally. To be fair towards Nintendo, they did have Sega Genesis games on the Wii Virtual Console so it wasn't totally out there. And I love the Genesis, it's one of my favorite retro consoles and that's coming from someone who has more memories with the SNES! Just thought that they should put stuff like GBA games instead, that would've saved them the effort because they made the system in question. And yeah...that would have been a cool freebie, at least for those who like Animal Crossing.
Just a thought, perhaps they could have had discounts for DLC and certain games for those who have the NSO expansion instead. Not just the Animal Crossing one, but others like the Smash Ultimate fighters passes and the Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion.

@MarioLover92 Looks like I'm not the only one who beat something tonight. Congrats. Easy route of Star Fox 64 3D for me tonight.
As for NSO, why not leave DLC out of it? I feel it would be cheaper if the Animal Crossing DLC wasn't included. I remember special offers being a feature of it, so I agree with the ideas of discounts on DLC and games. I sometimes use gold coins for discounts, but special offers is a feature of NSO.
So far the "special offers" are the controllers and a few free to download games (cost nothing to download, but you need a subscription to play).
I'm usually not negative, but it's hard to be positive towards this "service."

@Sunsy Thanks! Congrats to you as well. Though, I actually beat Dread a week ago. Yeah I pretty much agree with that, especially since the Animal Crossing DLC could be acquired by just buying it. That...was a really weird addition to their expansion pack. At least with the N64 games, it's the only way to access them on the Switch, which is why it'd make more sense to have stuff like Game Boy and GBA games as well. Nintendo themselves made those systems, after all - instead, they opted for a console that somebody else made to go with the N64 lineup. XD
That was my first thought about how much it costs, with that DLC - didn't I hear that the high price was the result of licensing deals with those Genesis games, or something like that? Could be wrong. There were those game vouchers too, though that was short-lived. I bought just one pair of them, the two games I got with them were Super Mario Maker 2 and that Link's Awakening remake. I got the NES controllers when they were 50% off, too.

@MarioLover92
The ACNH DLC changed my gaming purchase planning for November 2021.
Since i want to get HHP DLC ASAP, i have to delay another games to be purchased in December 2021.
This year i will rarely purchasing Switch games as other games from different machines are my top priority to build their games library during year 2021 (Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, PS3, PS4).
Btw, even purchasing PS4 games in physical made me a little bit nervous to think their Minimum GB size to be installed before playing for the first time.
I was fortunate enough to get enough people into my family group, so I’m set for at least one year of the expansion pass, at no extra cost.
I’m mostly interested in the N64 games. I really wish Nintendo sold those controllers in my country, I’d love to play the games with the proper controller.
@Sunsy as long as it is a personal favorite, not done to please others.
Have a nice day. Voiceactor: The Pirates! (Sony/Aardman 2012) - The Passion: A Brickfilm (Neema 2019) - The Torchlighters: The Story of John Newton (Vision Video 2022) - [NEW] Minno's Laugh and Grow Bible (Minno - 2024)
So I was supposed to get a box set of Japanese yokai monster movies from Amazon yesterday. What I got instead was this thing:
Horrifying, isn't it?
If I could find another online store with the shear variety that Amazon has I'd have switched over. This is the second problem I've had in as many weeks.
@MarioLover92 You're welcome and thanks! I think if they even added GBA or Game Boy, it could be cheaper because of the lack of licensing. The thing with third party is that games are usually sold. Good example, the Genesis collection can be bought for Switch. It's even on Xbox, PlayStation and PC. I would even say PC version has a couple of games the console version doesn't (even Sonic 3 & Knuckles).
The Sega Genesis Classics compilation even has the online play. My friend and I played a few online games the other night, without paying the extra price.
I have Sonic 1 on my GameCube, GBA, DS, Wii, 3DS, Switch, my PC (Steam uses the Sega Genesis Classics version) and my phone. Two of those, GameCube and DS, are even classic collections. If I want to play classic Sonic, I have lots of ways to do it.
On the SNES app, I like Magical Drop II, but I also can find the Neo-Geo version of it on the eShop, which I'm considering buying one day. Another example of a third party game being sold separately.
So far, the licensing stuff seems to be rumor when I saw the article the other day. I do feel the DLC does bring up the price.
@reporterdavid I agree. If you mean Metroid, yup I like the 2D ones. If you mean the Smurfs, definitely since it is one of my favorite cartoons, and do enjoy the occasional game based off cartoons I like.
