So I think I'm being ghosted. I was told I'd get an update on the job I'm applying for on Thursday and I still haven't heard anything, even after a gentle email asking for some info. Ruuuude.
But gaming wise I've got a team to build so I can hopefully stomp my mate in Pokemon XY.
Hang on to your youthful enthusiasms - you'll be able to use them better when you're older.
Hope everbody got through Tuesday okay! You know wait day it is now? Iiiiiiiiit's Wednesday. I'm pretty sure it is anyway.
@Ryu_Niiyama oh wow 😳 when it rains it pours. That sounds like one of those days where I start contemplating when my next week off is lol. Hope your apt is okay. Is the property management checking the extent of the damage? Apt living drove me crazy. Noise, fire, water. We lived across from an assisted living facility too so there were always ambulances.
My dog is getting old and I can tell senility is setting in and it hurts my heart a lil'. My wife and I adopted her at a year and a half old and she's just the sweetest dog. So she occassionally has problems but nothing major. The cat....well the cat's just kind of a jerk lol. But he's okay and I still love him (begrudgingly). I wish I could say i've been healthy, but things took a nose dive about 2 years ago. Suffice it to say - i am fine. Life happens and I try to roll with the punches. I'm better at it now than I was 2 years ago 😂
Incidentally, regarding the bmi discussion, I've put on some weight. I was usually 175lbs (i'm 5 feet, 11 and 1/2 inches. I check weekly lol.). Well i lost about 10lbs, was put on some medication, and gained 40lbs. I've lost 15 of that but i can't shake that remaining 15lbs.
@Snatcher That's like one of the benefits to not having cable TV, lol. Though, local TV ends up going live for breaking news sometimes.
@Losermagnet Got through Tuesday, yesterday was going ok until the Trolls holiday special was announced. That news actually made my day better. Nothing special was going on yesterday until that point.

Speaking about public holiday on 19 Oct 2021, due to pandemic situation and the holiday was taking a place of Tuesday after Sunday, the government in Indonesia (Mr Jokowi) moved the holiday to 20 Oct 2021.
The Mawlid of prophet Muhammad celebration was still on yesterday but the holiday taking place today.
Have seen that a lot of you play Metroid Dread. Even though I did not jumped on it in the first place, i started to got some interest in it.
Have a nice day. Voiceactor: The Pirates! (Sony/Aardman 2012) - The Passion: A Brickfilm (Neema 2019) - The Torchlighters: The Story of John Newton (Vision Video 2022) - [NEW] Minno's Laugh and Grow Bible (Minno - 2024)
@reporterdavid This website has that kind of effect on you. You see other people having a blast and think "maybe I should see what it's all about". I've only been on this site for a few months but already I plan to get half a dozen games that I wouldn't have before, all because of the experiences of others on this site.
@Snatcher Sometimes if I go to sleep with the TV on, it's usually on low. Sometimes it's a stream I start on YouTube two-three hours before bed... totally not taking advantage of Switch's video auto turn off feature after four hours for this.

@chapu2006 yeah, well i didn't want to have a singleplayer, rather love to play online. it still doesn't pitch me that much, but for some reason it brought a feeling of "ok, this might be cool"...

@reporterdavid Yeah I played it a lot when it first came out, and I beat it recently - it is such a good game. I was thinking you may want to play the older games first to get the most out of the story, though you'll want to play the remakes of Metroid 1 and 2 (Zero Mission and Samus Returns, respectively) instead of their original versions. The original NES version of Metroid is...not that good nowadays.
If you don't have any way to play much of the older games (it's okay if you don't - Zero Mission and Fusion only got rereleased on Wii U and only a few people bought that console), Nintendo Life actually made a video discussing if Dread can be your first Metroid game.
"Give yourself the gift of being joyfully you."
Playing: Disney Dreamlight Valley, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
@Sunsy I'm glad you're okay and other people were too in that situation. That story sounds awesome though. That sounds like such a cool moment being able to play your GBA cause you have a pair double A's amidst a storm. This makes me think of my recent switch from my Keychron 6 kb to my Logitech K380 which runs on 2 triple A's. The primary reason for the switch is because the K380 is a multi-device keyboard and I need it to also pair to my iPad, so I bought it at $30. Bringing it back though, the power needed to use the keyboard is so minimal it makes the 2 triple A's last for 2 years according to Logi's marketing. Ahh.. and internet cafes are cool and fun, but some of them around me are really shady, and plus these days I'd much rather just game out from home xD.
@MarioLover92 Yea, I'm talking with my bro to see if he would be willing to do a family plan so we can get that discount. I'm pretty much the same when it comes to what we get, I'm really mostly looking forward to the N64 stuff, but the Genesis stuff does look interesting too. It's so dumb that you have to buy the DLC for Animal Crossing separately to keep it. It would have been so much better if they give you the DLC to keep whether or not you maintain your sub or not. I'm not much an AC player these days, but that kind of thing doesn't sound right to me.
@reporterdavid Haven't played it yet. Usually this is the time of year I stop buying games, in event I get something for Christmas. My folks usually give me a game for Christmas. Right now the only game I have to look forward to is Smurfs Mission Vileaf on PC, pre-ordered it on GOG. I do want to play Metroid Dread.
Call it an unpopular opinion, I like the 2D Metroid games more than the Prime series personally. I even bought Metroid Zero Mission on Wii U (actually, it's the #1 game on the Wii U eShop last I checked) and Metroid II on 3DS because of Metroid Dread's announcement.
@tekoii It was, it was useless at night, but at least during the day it kept me entertained while waiting for the power to be turned on. I think I was playing Sonic Advance 3 at the time. Cool, hopefully it will last, I like Logitech. Whenever I bought a mouse by them, it usually lasts at least 5-7 years, that's the basic cheap model too. Hoping to get one of their gaming mice one day.
@Sunsy I think it's pretty even which is preferred, I also prefer 2D Metroid games. By the way, Dread is amazing so I hope that you and anyone interested gets to play it soon. I still can't believe how good it turned out, it makes me so happy as it's my favourite Nintendo franchise.
I have never had any interest with G-Force (Disney) and Tintin before, but recently i have some curiosity with these games on PS3 as part of Wild Card i want to consider for adding my PS3 games.
Any thought about these games ?
