Hah. I watched the Scooby Doo and Courage the Cowardly Dog crossover movie.

It was bizarre, and had several dips in quality, but it was ultimately funny, and more or less served as a sort of ending to the Courage cartoon, which was kinda nice.

@tekoii To answer your question from while we were on the Rocket League, I don't play Pokemon — I don't play turn based battle games. Mario+Rabbids is the only exception.

Glad you got to diamond in hoops. I haven't been diamond anything since, like, june. I've been plat III div IV over and over, over and over since summer, but with solo queueing, I just haven't been able to get that extra win needed to get back to diamond. Even if I did, my skill set isn't there yet (since the new meta) to keep diamond long enough to for diamond rewards at end of season. Still working at improving though. Focusing on my weaknesses.

@Tyranexx No need to apologise, I’ve been quite busy too. I’ve had free time here and there but not enough to draft up one of these. Hopefully you’ve found some downtime when needed, I know pretty well how bad it can get in terms of running out of quality recreational time.

I’d say The Avalanches are quite nuanced, they remind me of early-2000s Daft Punk in that they use a silly amount of samples in their work. Some of their songs have hundreds of samples, if not thousands, and some even feature an artist; like one song I mentioned has Weezer’s lead singer in it, for example. I believe CHVRCHES is less niche, though the genre they specialise in is very specific. Either way hopefully you’ll like what you see, or in this instance hear.

Wow. Considering the pedigree of games you’ve played that is very high praise indeed. I was wondering whether your impression of it had ultimately been very good or if it had fizzled slightly but that’s excellent to hear, and I’m glad you enjoyed it that much. And as for the music linked, just… unbelievable! Deadly Temptation sounds like something you’d find in a hack’n slash game, I imagine this plays during a really intense sequence? For the song “Opening”… man it really reminds me of Joe Hisaishi’s work for Studio Ghibli. Swelling horns, a powerful piano and strings. Thanks for the music, that’s helped my case for getting it pretty well. Hopefully you’ll enjoy Monstrum Nox, since it’ll be another five years until the next one comes out, and another two until it’s translated into English!

As much as I like headphones there’s instances where they’re virtually unusable, like, funnily, being on a plane. Because my head leans to the side I’m worried I’d crush the large cups (since my preference is over-ear, the ones that cup your entire ear), so I switch to earbuds. Earbuds are good for quick use and things like walking because of how subtle they are but for things like gym workouts, as I found out a few days ago when training on a treadmill, it’s awful. They kept falling out to the point I thought I ruptured my eardrum from how many times I was shoving them back in.

Again, zero rush. I haven’t had enough large blocks of time to work on it the whole month, but I have a few ideas on where to go. I’ve “reached” Frontier Village at the moment, so that’s around… 30% through so far, and it’s totalled about 250 pages so far. Ambitious end point obviously but I’m mentally prepared to wait a few years to get to it if necessary.

I think the PS5 showcase was absolutely key to Sony’s fanbase. I think it delivered, especially when considering the breath of the IPs they’re covering in that one presentation. I’d say that showcase was just a little better than Nintendo’s E3 Direct this year, because it attacked almost every possible niche. You have a really stylish hack’n slash with an impossibly pretty heroine with Project EVE, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, giving us the chance to explore a really good story, God of War (personally I don’t care but I know it’s great for the fanbase), Gran Turismo 7 for all those motor junkies out there, and more. Today a game released, called “Kena: Bridge of Spirits” by the same talented team behind a really well-animated Majora’s Mask short film, I’m very excited to see how that goes, based off the early reviews it’s looking good. Death Stranding comes out on the 24th as well, for just £5 I can upgrade… so I think No-Simp September’s failed, especially no thanks to Norman Reedus’ silly mo-cap tom foolery in the private room. I do love how GTA V was delayed half a year though. Same with Uncharted 4’s getting a remaster, and Skyrim’s getting yet another bloody port. These studios are showing us what’s wrong with gaming at the moment, all these meaningless ports.

Good luck with the Breath of the Wild DLC excursion, I think you may well have a decent time. Tragically I think you may have to wait to get into the action… we have a Nintendo Direct on our hands! I, not being a night owl by any stretch of the imagination, will naturally wake up at 1am to watch it and spend the rest of the day complaining about how tired I am. Find time to see it! Enjoy either way.

Well naturally. Dunno how they'll manage to map physical floor buttons to a Joy-Con but I'm open for correction anytime lol.

Me... I hope we get Xenoblade X. God I'm getting tired of saying this, I've already said it three times for the last few directs.

@TheJGG Super Mario Odyssey 2, Mario Kart 9, and/or the next F-Zero. Though I doubt those will be announced in the direct, so I won't lose sleep over that. lol

I'm literally only expecting more details on previously announced games, as well as the last Smash Ultimate DLC fighter, since Nintendo said that they're gonna have all the Smash DLC ready by the end of this year. Hopefully it's Cat Mario, but we'll see.
