Anyone else had problems with Windows since the latest update? My problem is so specific, Google is hopeless. What effectively happens is I'll be watching video content (this isn't specific to a player, as it has happened with both the default video software and while watching video in the browser) and suddenly the video will lock up. Your natural inclination is then to just click around, flick over to Task Manager etc just to see if anything has crashed but initially, there is no indication anything is wrong. However, after an indeterminate amount of time, windows becomes entirely irresponsive, task manager becomes unresponsive and my PC won't turn off/restart, unless I do a hard shut down.
What makes this especially odd, is that I won't get like a grey overlay or whatever that says "there has been a problem or whatever", you just click on things and just nothing happens. Like there is some invisible wall over the top of the software, stopping you from interacting it. Also, outside of task manager/windows explorer, everything else still seems to remain working.
Like if I minimise a window, I have no way to get back to it but if I leave a window up I'll see that software is still running as it should, so it seems to effect very specific apps, in a very specific sequence, in a very specific way, every time. This has happened maybe four times this weekend and only began after I installed a new Windows update on Friday.
@Pizzamorg I have windows desktop & laptop, but I haven't seen the issues you described. I use Firefox for a browser. I'm assuming you're having issues streaming videos? (not playing .mp4 or video files). I'm in US. I don't know if your update has rolled out here. There was a windows update here 1-2 weeks ago.
I use Edge, it has happened when streaming video through Edge but also watching BluRays through the media player as well. I dunno what it is called, Film and TV or something. I am in the UK. I don't know when the update rolled out, it was a bit of a strange update, as it is the first time I think I've seen windows actually give me a pop up telling me it has an update for me. Usually I only realise because of the little icon next to the shutdown button on my start menu.
@BabyYoda71, keep in mind that due to licensing issues not every MCU movie is on Disney+, though naturally they have almost virtually everything else.
The Incredible Hulk (came out before the Disney buyout, so I'm assuming some sort of rights issue with Paramount), and both Spider-Man: Homecoming & Spider-Man: Far From Home (since Sony owns the film rights) aren't on D+ (same will probably be true for Spider-Man: No Way Home as well).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
@tekoii Yeah sure thing, I wrote it on my calendar so I'm looking forward to it.
@Tyranexx Yeah, I just saw the price too, it is quite a bit of money but as someone who has a backlog problem I can relate to that. I found myself not getting as much RPGs since I have a bad habit of putting them off, lol. (Mainly because many RPGs are incredibly long.) That SM64 Lego set should be fun to put together.
I liked Metroid: Samus Returns too, I haven't played much of the original game but it definitely felt like a brand new game to me. Especially with the new moves you could do.

Favorite game: Super Mario 3D World
AKA MarioVillager92. Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I want to get to know you first. Thanks! ❤️
I checked my games library list from each machine I have before I make purchase planning.
I have collected 33 PS3 games.
I have collected 51 Wii USA games.
I have collected 16 Wii U USA games.
I have collected 9 Gamecube USA games.
During year 2021, they are my focus to build the games library quantity.
I almost forgot to pick PS4 & Switch games during this year as whenever I spotted Rare Gamecube / Wii / Wii U USA games from Tokopedia, I must put them as main priority to get first before getting PS4 / Switch games. As the result, I have to pending until 6 - 9 months to continue building my PS4 / Switch games.
I didn't pick PSP and GBA games at all during this year, I might add with at least 2 NDS games and 2 Japanese 3DS games before end of year 2021. Still unsure if I can purchase an OG XBOX machine USA version from Tokopedia to play my DDR Ultramix 1 & 2, Carmen Sandiego and Spongebob Light Camera Pants. Wii Japan machine was also in my consideration but it clashed with my planning to get Ring Fit Adventures in late December 2021.
So many things I want to buy, so confusing to decide which should I pick first.
For next shopping time, I will pick 3 PS4 games + 1 Gamecube USA game (if the game still available from the seller) + 1 PS3 game. Hopefully Megaman Network Transmission Gamecube USA is still available until my salary day. 🤞
If I was to say the nintendo switch was made for the end times as the ultimate game streaming device(for when the big three come together and make their games avaliable to stream on any platform, most suitably the switch), who would believe me?
@DannyBoi
Streaming games is a HELL NO from me.
I stick on traditional way to play video games with cartridges or disc.
I don't want a future with Streaming games.

@DannyBoi
We can stop the future like that.
That's a future i will hate forever.
And i will not join into Streaming games party whatsoever.
Physical games will never die.
Me and other peoples out there still keep supporting physical games.
#physicalforever 🤟
@Anti-Matter it's the unfortunate truth. Besides which, do you really think it's a coincidence that the switch is the only console where certain games are only playable via streaming? The switch really was and is made for a streaming future.
@DannyBoi
I don't even care with games that need streaming internet connection 100% to play. I will never want to play with them.
I just only want to play my games Offline with legit physical media. No streaming at all.
Streaming games is a really terrible idea ever in my opinion.
And please don't try so hard to convince me with streaming games idea.
My answer will be only one:
#physicalforever 🤟
@NintendoByNature yes, unfortunately. And I mean, as I said to antimatter, the switch is basically made for streaming. That's why it launched in such a basic state( no Web browser, no save backup, no messaging system, bland and hard to use Eshop, bad battery life on launch model) the list goes on and on. That's why Nintendo are pushing the switch so much, they want it in as many hands as possible before the streaming future arrives.
@Anti-Matter I'm not trying to convince you, I'm telling you the future is streaming. I want to stay physical, but at some point soon, if anyone wants to stay physical, they will have to rely on the enormous back catalogue of physical games. Because from that point on, there will be no more physical.
