@Slowdive OMG I missed that article, it didn't have to full name so I didn't know, Its really sad to hear. as I to used the Emu software. Its so tragic what happen'd, I don't know what to say.

I can soon get Gamepass again, @ThanosReXXX .... I'll obviously keep up with what's coming to the PC version but as long as the games come to Steam, there's plenty of options for getting those discounted

@Zuljaras TBH I only felt mad about that movie at the beginning, the last part of the movie was fine for me. (I'm talking about rya and the last dragon)

@BruceCM Well, currently, I'm still on last gen, so I'm going to have to look into what will still be available for that. And besides that, I'm almost never an early adopter anyways, whether it's games or the systems themselves. Unless it's limited edition and I really want to own it, like for example those Skyward Sword HD Joy Con, I'll easily let years go by before I jump in.

@Slowdive @nessisonett Far as I'm concerned, you're both welcome to come in here and discuss it, as long as it doesn't bring in the trolls as well. I actually considered making a new forum topic about it, because I was kind of annoyed that comments were disabled in the article, and I had some genuine questions/wonderings, some of which I've already puzzled together, but I ultimately decided not to make a topic of it, suspecting it might be locked straight away anyways.

So, having said all that, I'm sorry to see something like this happen to someone, let alone see a situation get so out of hand that people would even consider taking such drastic measures, so if I had made a topic, I would have most definitely added a disclaimer stating that if there's people here that are also in emotional/psychological distress, battling with these kinds of sentiments, that they should definitely talk to people or get help, either from friends or family or professionals.

I'm not even going to pretend that I can even begin to understand all the trials and sorrows that come with being different and not being seen, heard or simply being bullied for it, but truth be told, the whole concept of not being one or the other also completely escapes/mystifies/puzzles me. Perhaps I'm just too simple of a man in that regard, even though I'm hardly stupid.

Either way, regardless of any personal sentiments about the topic, being a highly empathic person, events like these touch me regardless, much like some time ago when they reported about Etika. I personally highly disliked him as a YouTuber, or at least, as the character he played, which was WAY too over-exaggerated for me, but nevertheless I felt sad when we got to learn about his ultimate faith.

To prevent any misunderstandings: not saying I have or had a dislike for this developer, I actually didn't even know him them, but by the example I gave, I simply wanted to signify that I can still sympathize with people's fates, even though I personally don't like or understand them, because in my view, sorrow is universal and I don't think any of them are bad people, again: regardless of personal sentiments, so I would never wish such an end upon any of them.

@ThanosReXXX Same here, I don't really know the them at all, But I'm a very, and I mean a very empathetic person, So whenever something like this happens to anybody, I feel really sad, Like I said I have never read a single thing about this guy, but It doesn't matter, I still feel this way, I can't talk about this for to long, or I might end up getting to depressed, But I don't want to brush it off ether, I don't want anyone to think I don't care, but Like I said I just can't talk about this stuff for to long, About a hour or 3 is about my limit, And I need to stop thinking about it, Its a thing that I do were I put my self in somebody's shoes, And its making me feel worse.

Wow talking about that made me feel much much better.

@Snatcher You will probably want to refrain from calling the person a "dude", seeing as it concerns a non-binary individual, as stated in the article. I know you didn't mean anything by it, but whenever possible, especially in cases like these, were people got hurt or passed away, it doesn't hurt to be a little bit extra careful with our wordings...

Its just so sad to see, all the people wanting them not to do it, and it all when't down live. All bc of That Stupid **** Kiwi farm. I have to try not to let this get to me, I have to regulate it, I feel so bad, they said they wanted to be remember'd for there work, not there death, so thats what i'm going to do.

I just can't help but feel, If Only I was there. if only I knew him. if only I....If only I was there. I just wish I could have stopped him, its all I want to do know, Is stop him, If only I had a tweeter, If only I was the friend he needed, I would have to everything, just to make sure he was alright. If Only I was there to save him, I want nothing more right now but to just go back in time, And make sure he was safe.

Kiwi Farms needs to be shut down

Reading the comments on there reacting to Near's initial suicide note thread made me sick. Apparently it's banned in Australia but there needs to be some sort of criminal investigation looking into this site with how many suicides and incidents have stemmed from or have been linked to harassment on that platform

@TheFrenchiestFry And it makes me so mad to, They going to keep getting funding after all the death linked to it, I hate it so much, Something needs to be done about it.

@Snatcher I wouldn't beat myself up over something that I could never have any control over. Not to be harsh or anything, but we can't save everyone. What we might be able to gain control over, depending on how big of a crowd can be gathered, is shut down or at least (further) expose moronic and malevolent platforms such as Kiwi Farms. If they're the cause of multiple misdemeanors and/or people being harassed and such, then it shouldn't take all that much of an effort. I know of Kickstarters that are harder to pull off.

@ThanosReXXX there is no need to expose anything ... those platforms are open on their behaviour. The do not even try to hide what they say. I read some stuff and it is pretty vile but it is not illegal.
People chose to behave like that and no amount of cancel culture could change that.

If people have mental issues they should seek help. Their siblings should seek help. Their friends should seek help.

Not having friends because of mental health issues is the big issue here. Not some randoms spewing crap on the Internet. People need to realise that shutting down one platform will only result in another emerging.

The best way is to ignore those platforms and their communities. And most importantly seek help with your inner demons.

There will always be rude and hateful people on the Internet. A persons own choice is to succumb to their bullying or ignore them and continue with their life.

I do not think that some randoms create mental issues in ones mind.

Maybe people need to learn how to ignore online bullying instead of trying to remove something that can't be removed.

Just now saw that article. While part of me wishes comments had been left open, I respect the decision to leave them closed. With how toxic some of the comment sections on the main site have become lately, it was a good move.

I've never heard of the guy, but what happened to him was terrible. I really wish he had continued to seek help. That in and of itself can be quite a process even when you are trying your best. Worst of all, I wasn't aware that there were sites specifically dedicated TO bullying others. That's just...I'd say sick, but I don't think that word does it justice. Especially on things people genuinely have no control over, like their physical characteristics, how their brain is wired, or with what illness(es) they might be afflicted with. The best practice is just to ignore such vitriol, but believe me when I say that's easier said than done. Especially when one is already worn down from repeated bullying and wrestling with their own inner demons.

Edit: Just saw the note above about the active stalking, doxxing, harassment, etc. THAT is certainly illegal and definitely ups the ante on normal cyberbullying. Some people are just disturbing sycophants who like feeding off the pain of others, it seems.

@ThanosReXXX Ooh, I'd forgotten about the control switching in Other M. That did take some adapting, but I don't recall being too irritated by it. And yeah, the story certainly had a few missteps. I don't think it's bad for Samus to muse a bit, but it does mess with how one perceives her when compared to the other games. That said, not all of the character development was bad per se. I just wish they'd had more of it for some of the side characters as well. That said, there is plenty to like about the game. I just don't feel some who are late to the Metroid party like yours truly will give it the open-minded chance it deserves thanks to ye olde internet.

From the underrated/overrated thread in the Retro forum, I was informed by I-U that the multiplayer mode in Hunters is still accessible, but you need to stick with the computer/AI; for some reason, I was under the impression it was completely inaccessible. HLTB has the run time for the game at roughly ~9 hours, though the exact time will vary per player.

If you're into RPGs, I recommend the Golden Sun series. All the games are worth it IMO, but the two GBA titles are the best overall. Technically, they're one game split into two due to the GBA cart capacity back then. Mechanically, they aren't too different from standard RPGs outside of using djinn (Which can be a pretty broken system depending on your setup), but plot-wise they're quite entertaining. I'd love to expand more on that, but...spoilers. XD

@Anti-Matter Looks like you had plenty of luck? 30 Crank-A-Kai tries? You got some decent Yo-Kai out of it all too. My favorites out of your images are Toadal Dude, Komajiro, Papa Bolt, and Mama Aura. The only design out of those I'm unfamiliar with is the rat-like one.

@Zuljaras I do agree with you there, I mean twitter is pretty open about how they will get rid of anything that doesn't meat there views, But some people have a hard time ignoring trolls, and I feel like in this case, they try'd, but it was even more then that, I can't remember this dudes name but he was a reporter I think, but he was ruthless on how he talked about this them, and they even said how this man pushed them over the mountain.

@Slowdive OMG I went onto one form on that site, that site is full of evil people talking about he faked his death, And now I can see how its a troll site, They try to bait you to respond only to keep pushing you, Why would anyone want to be apart of such a site oh wait I know why, Bc these people are nothing but Bags of unheathy ****.

And its no use trying to get the site removed, But I do think people just need to stay far away form this site, why was he on it?

Something in me tho does hope he faked it, and if thats what he needed to do to get away from people like them then fine!

@Eel I agree tbh I wouldn't want this site to be targeted by them. And I think I have said and read as much As I can handle, and TBH I don't want anything to happen to this site, why? bc the trolls gather there, and if thats were there held up without noticing then great, There locked up there and I would rather them stay there and say what there going to say, I don't want them Going any were else.

@TheJGG I'm going to play the trials of mana demo this week I hope so I could tell you my thoughts around then.
