Got back from replaying Sonic Mania. I thought it'd be the best game to play through for Sonic's 30th, since most of the game is based on classic Sonic zones! I ended up getting all the Chaos Emeralds on my first try too, which was sweet.
@Sunsy I can so imagine Sonic saying "yeah!" lol. Glad you liked the Sonic Symphony!
@SM3DASislit I only played a couple Monkey Ball games. Besides Super Monkey Ball 2, I also played that one Monkey Ball game from Sega Superstars, which was that EyeToy game. I didn't like it that much though, only because I didn't like the motion controls.
I kinda agree with that Disney comment you made too - I have more of an attachment to the Disney Renaissance movies since they came out during my generation. I think I've seen more Renaissance films than the older ones. lol
@Tyranexx Yeah, my cat is quite attached to me. I'd say he does, he likes to chill out more than playing, for example. He does tend to hide when we have company over though. I guess you could say he's a bit of a scaredy-cat, lol.
@ogo79 - Those Super Naturals figures are incredible, well done man. My brother and I had a few of them, pretty sure I had a werewolf figure. Always been a big werewolf guy myself, but skeletons are also very cool. Especially when they glow. I’m getting a big bin of our old toys from my parents here pretty soon, but I think all the really good stuff is long gone. I’m looking forward to picking through it though. I’ll let you know if I find anything good.
please let me know if you come across anything...lets say...boney...its crap, sell it to me, you totally dont want to keep it...
@ogo79 You remind me a bit of my father. When I was a kid he used to take me along with him to toy shows and flea markets and such looking for a lot of the toys he had as a kid in the 60s and 70s. Only to collect them this time. It was always fun going to events like that, and our basement was full of shelves of model cars, GI-Joe, and Lost in Space stuff. Though I don't collect the same stuff, it's because of him that I collect so much in general. For me it's trading cards, anime figures, model kits plushies and games.
Good memories.
Congrats on your find and good luck in future hunts!
that means a lot to me, i wasnt going to say much about this, but my dad just passed away on the 9th, its been super hard on me, and i too get collecting from my dad, he made and collected knives, it wasnt my thing but nevertheless, i assume i get that knack of collecting from him, its what keeps people going. i appreciate the response, life is funny that way sometimes

@ogo79 I am sorry to hear that. My father passed a few years ago. It's a difficult thing.
But yeah, collecting stuff is an interesting hobby because despite having different interests collectors generally can still relate and share stories. I think that, no matter your area of interest, those moments when you find something you really like, or get a great deal or find that one special item you've spent so long hunting are aways a good time.
No matter if you're into knives, video games, old toys, model cars or anime figurines. Whatever flavor suits you. 😋

I've seen some reviews of the Final Fantasy Origins, @Tyranexx .... They're all pretty good, actually! You know I think they will announce FF Pixelated Series/ Collection for Switch sooner or later, too
@ogo79 I’m so sorry to hear about that. I hope your father can live on through your collecting, because from what I’ve seen you’re pretty damn good at it.
@ogo79 man that is hard! "Made and collect knives" your father was awesome! I only have 2 knives collected but I do not have space for more! I love weapons!
Keep collecting and keep the memory of him alive that way

@SM3DASislit@Sunsy Movie talk! I watched Raya and the Last Dragon yesterday, off the back of Luca. I was worried that it wouldn't live up to Luca but I was wrong, it did. Even if the general consensus in my family was that Luca was a better film overall. Raya (voiced by Kelly Marie Tran) as a character feel very familiar, but very new at the same time. She's a much better example of Asian representation than Mulan (live-action), that's for sure. She has physical strength, like MMA skills and sword skills, but has a lot of quirks that make her likeable. And of course the key flaw every Disney hero/ine has; for Raya it's a lack of trust.
I... really like Sisu (voiced by Awkwafina). I didn't know (better word; remember) what Awkwafina sounded like despite having watched Crazy Rich Asians, a movie she's in, but I was expecting a very high, irritating voice. But Sisu's... very funny. She's a pain in the backside when she wants to be but she can be serious and have some good character-building moments when she wants to. Her design is also... so elegant. Which reminds me... the animation... it's reaching the pinnacle. The lighting, the fur texture, the water, the fog... Jesus Christ.
@SM3DASislit Well that explains a bit. Movies is a subject that brings people together, so this is a very engaging discussion. You'd waste your time finding someone here who truly doesn't like the talk.
@Sunsy I was thinking like that when I realised what the two were going to do. I do feel like the town accepted Luca and Alberto's identities too quickly, the pacing of the movie in general was ebbing and flowing. From the moment I began appreciating Luca and Guilia's friendship I also began dreading the moment he revealed his sea monster-ness. She took it shockingly well. There was no breakup or emotional outburst... and I'm glad their connection was that strong.
@ThanosReXXX Well seeing the passion bleed across distances means it's very strong indeed! With me the systems I have such memories on are much more focused, so I associate each console (DS, Wii, Wii U, Switch) with more strong memories. This is truly the best Nintendo's been though. Wii had a lot of games but Switch ones... they run well, and you know the value's solid. Just port over some bits and bobs here and there and... no need for the Wii/Wii U. It's that easy!
@TheJGG
I prefer Mulan animated version (1998) than the live action version (2020) as Mulan in animated version was a normal girl without super power but she had a brain and courage to kick butt the Hun clans while in live action version, she has the power that made her looks like invincible. Not attractive in my opinion.
Also, Mulan in animated version has an androgyny face that perfect to disguise as a male warrior.
Additional thing, the matchmaker scene in animated version looked funnier than the live action version.
@Anti-Matter Yeah, I do as well. Live-action Mulan was not an example of strength. She was just a super powerful person with magic powers. That doesn't mean anything when looking for inspiration. The animated Mulan was a nobody, until she saved China through sheer determination alone.
I feel like the bathing scene in the live-action remake is realistic, and so fits in the film. Maybe it could have worked in the original too.
