Got a pre-purchase key for £40 just now, @ThanosReXXX .... Those don't usually appear before the game has a Steam Store page but I guess that'll come soon!
@ThanosReXXX I’ve put in an hour, probably... seven flags so far? I’ll learn the ropes as well as the basics of online play soon enough, I got time! I’ll keep you posted, since my backlog’s as dry as a desert right now.
Yeah, it'll come to XBox One, Series S/X, PS4 & PS5 .... but I haven't got any of those, now, so I'll get the Steam one, @ThanosReXXX Ditto Tails of Arise, which I also got 20% off
@BruceCM Ah, okay. For a moment there, you really had me wondering...
@1UP_MARIO Yeah, I've only heard great things about it, and I bought it after having read an in-depth review from one of my favorite and most trustworthy tech web sites. The gaming mode with super-low input lag was also a HUGE plus for me.
So, how did you know that this is a good TV? Do you also have an LG?
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
@ThanosReXXX I wish. Was looking for TVs for my brother in law who’s also into gaming. He ended up with it. Went through many TVs and reviews. Good buy
We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.
Jon Cartwright is on this weeks Nintendo Voice Chat
That's unexpected. He does say he's from nintendolife, in case people are worried he fled NL.
Anyway, it's a podcast from a game website called IGN?, which I've never heard of - it must have sprung up over night.
@WoomyNNYes They've certainly chosen a funny title: for something to have vanished, it must have actually been here in the first place, and obviously, the rumor has by now well and truly been proven a total and utter fake.
'The console wars are like boobs: Sony and Microsoft fight over which ones look the nicest and Nintendo's are the most fun to play with.'
So i'm back after a few crazy busy weeks. I'll prolly be posting semi-irregularly on the forum for awhile since things are still in a state of flux.
Maybe it's that i've been preoccupied with other things, but i have zero excitement for e3 this year. The most exciting announcement I can think of would be Sony saying the PS5 will actually be available to buy in stores.
And the xray i had on my neck was perfectly normal. On one hand thats good, but on the other I still have a handful of problems that are unexplained. I won't go through that baggage here, suffice it to say that I'm doing some exercises and they're helping. Small victories I s'pose.

Give me a heads-up if you're going to send a request please.
I used to visit IGN for mostly non-Nintendo news and any news missed here. Heck, WAY back in the day I used to crawl their Pokemon boards before moving onto different boards in late high school. However, I felt the site's quality had been declining for some time, mainly with their general coverage, reviews, and some of their arguably better writers leaving for greener pastures. And the comment sections....While I never participated in the article discussions, the vast majority of those are a dumpster fire. Take some of the worst comment sections here, multiply them a few hundred times, and you'll get similar results. XD
Someone suggested trying Destructoid, and I haven't looked back. The site has fulfilled my non-Nintendo needs nicely, though I don't comment there.
@ThanosReXXX Even though I'm not the biggest John Wayne fan, the museum was still pretty interesting. That's a heck of a drive even for me, considering it's smack in the middle of Iowa. It's an adjoining state, but definitely not the closest state to my normal stomping grounds. XD
As the Tyranexx Movie List is ever-changing, so is the resulting title.
I'll make a mental note to let you know on any of those movies should I get around to them soon. Some of those might even lend themselves to family viewing, though I'd definitely be on my own for anything fantasy, sci-fi, or hero-related; I'm unfortunately the odd one out when it comes to those forms of media. I do hope you enjoy those pictures! Congrats on the long weekend; I was debating on taking off this coming Tuesday for the Nintendo hype, but I'd rather not take a day off mid-week unless it's an emergency. My vacation days don't roll over until next month - our employee calendar year runs from July 1st-June 30th - so I'm nearly out. I've been laying off the site a little to deal with some craziness IRL. Next week is the Week of Many Appointments, starting tomorrow with the dentist....
lol, IGN has been around forever, @WoomyNNYes ..... So, what's he say about it? I cba to watch!
Yeah, prior to 2017, and Switch launch, IGN was my source for game reviews. I couldn't resist the fun, endearing urge to pretend ignorance of IGN, and squeeze classic simpsons scenes into real life. Since 2018, I've listened to/watched NVC most weeks. I like those guys.
Regarding what Jon Cartwright talks about, I've only watched the first ten minutes so far, and they haven't gotten into the meat of anything yet.
Anyway, here's the iconic Simpsons scene I parodied. Love the "must have sprung up over night" line.
My breakfast today with a big bowl of white curry ramen and vegetables. 😋
I cooked the vegetables first on a pot then I poured some water, add with seasonings from ramen noodle and boil the broth. I cooked the noodles after I made the broth.
@TheJGG Overhauled the music folder, you say? I will certainly give those new tracks a listen!....Though I'm embarrassed to say, I seem to have misplaced the link to that Google Drive folder. Mind sharing it again please?
Our mini-novels do lend themselves well towards the creation of a full-size novel, it seems. XD As of this writing, that document you shared is sitting at 104 pages! Not sure how much forum posts count, but it has been ages since I've written anything for recreation. I used to do the occasional bout of fan fiction, but some of those earlier examples...weren't very good. XD I unfortunately never saved a lot of it, and most of it was unfinished. Most of it was Pokemon-related, but I delved into supernatural and sci-fi elements for school writing projects back in the day. No objections to adding ThanosReXXX's posts as well; he's another member of the long post club.
I quite enjoy Nintendo Directs; they do fit some decent surprises in them. Even if some of the reveals aren't for me, I know there's an audience for them somewhere and am happy the games I may not care for hit the right notes for others. In my opinion, there's almost always something for everyone. Those that complain at this point that "Switch has no games" are either WAY too picky for their own good or are just trolling. I didn't follow Nintendo news closely enough when they were doing live E3 presentations, so the Nintendo Direct style is what I've always been more familiar with. It means I've missed some iconic moments, such as some of Reggie's earlier shenanigans, but the E3 digital events have, IMO, had their equally epic moments.
I used to not branch out much with my own gaming and mostly just stuck with games related to shows and other properties I was familiar with; I was a huge multimedia target as a kid. Thankfully, I avoided some of the shovelware stinkers out there, but not all of them. Pokemon was the only RPG series I played for years; outside of that, I was mostly exposed to and familiar with platformers, bite-sized action/adventure games, and the occasional (kid-friendly) shooter way back then. Other property-related games I used to own were quite good, such as Tweety's High-Flying Adventure on the GBC (platformer), Harry Potter and the Sorceror's/Philosopher's Stone (GBC as well, though there was a decent action/puzzler on the GBA), and the various entries in the Mega Man Battle Network series.
On Capcom: No problem! I'm not a veteran of their IPs, but I do have some experience. As mentioned previously (and the last paragraph), I've had some exposure to their Mega Man franchise (Though - opinion alert - I prefer the games with RPG elements over the platformers), Okami (VERY glad you're still playing it!), some limited recent exposure to the Monster Hunter series (Rise, as well as a couple of 3DS demos and the Monster Hunter Stories spinoff), the excellently underrated Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, and some of the many iterations of Street Fighter II. I don't think Resident Evil is my cup of tea either, same with the Dead Rising series. What I really need to do is give Ace Attorney Trilogy a spin; I own the collection but still have yet to dig into it.
Your E3 viewing schedule is very similar to mine when it comes to must-watches, but the airing blocks for your time zone would admittedly suit my schedule more. XD Though I do need to start getting to bed a bit earlier....
Sounds like that booster did a number on your dad. Hopefully he's fully himself again. In your case, I hope you do get to watch what you wish of E3 while dealing with few, if any, side effects.
I'm curious to see what else they do with the Dragon Quest III HD-2D remake. The RPGs I play are all over the place in terms of length, but I don't mind shorter ones as long as they're done well. Some games like Xenoblade Chronicles have decent pacing from start to finish, but others have arguably way more padding than I'd like. Back to the remake, I hope they keep it mostly 1:1 since I haven't played the original game, though it would be cool to see a little extra content. I would also prefer if Yuji Horii stays as Yuji Horii and doesn't go down the Kamiya route.
I’d say this analogy isn’t my best but keeping up with rumours is like orbiting a black hole. You can do it safely but get too close and you’ll never come back!
I'd say this is pretty accurate. In a way I'm obsessed with Nintendo, but I do agree that there's a such thing as TOO much....
Both games have been dispatched? I'm not sure how you are with keeping tabs on a shipment's progress, but if it's something I'm REALLY waiting for...I'll check the service several times a day. I wouldn't call it obsessive, but sometimes I check anyway, even if I'm fairly certain there won't be an update. A shame the lockdown was extended, but at least when it (finally) ends you'll be ready for life again! It seems ironic in a sense that Lewis Hamilton used that quote, then finished last; the important thing, however, is that he finished at all! Very true words there, even if they weren't quite what he meant in the moment. The guy's wonderfully human; I'm sure he'll bounce back in the next race!
That's a very nice steelbook for Persona 5 Royal; very eye-catching indeed! I'll have to dig up a web image of the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 steelbook as well; I'm sure it's at least comparable? I need to spring for one of those at some point, but I'd 1. need to want it badly enough, and 2. worry about import costs.
On Pokémon Legends: Arceus: Yep, we shall see. From what we've seen so far, the concept appears to be what the series has needed for years. It fits some of how I'd previously imagined the next stage of the series to be. That said, it does look a little rough around the edges, so I'm staying in the "cautiously optimistic" camp until we see and know more. Sinnoh is one of my favorite regions in the series (Not sure if I've mentioned it in this thread, but the Gen 4 games, which introduced the world to the Sinnoh region, had a huge impact on me back when they first came out) and contains some of my favorite Pokemon. Even if the fire starter is by far my least favorite out of all the starting fire Pokemon. XD
Truth be told, I could play the original Trials of Mana via Collection of Mana right now if I wanted to. In fact, I did spend a few hours with that version of the game, but the combat felt pretty clunky. From what I've read on the web, many who have played the original think the remake, mechanically, is an improvement in many ways. As much as its predecessor, Secret of Mana, is revered by many, I wasn't a huge fan of the combat mechanics in that title either. Sooo much grinding at later weapon and magic levels. Don't get me wrong, SoM is still a very good game. But it was, to put it lightly, overhyped. I was expecting to like it as much as some of its peers that also graced the world around that time, such as Final Fantasy VI, Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, and even Super Mario RPG. For the modern Trials of Mana remake, I am excited to experience how the game has been modernized...even if the VA work is sub-par. XD
Yeah, it was obvious you were joking, @WoomyNNYes .... IGN is great for most gaming stuff, so I follow them on Twitter & have been trying to keep up with their GameFest, etc! I don't remember the VA in Trials of Mana remake seeming too bad to me, @Tyranexx. Have you got that now or something? It'd certainly be quite a bit better than SoM for everything, at least
So today I got some extra games from some leftover E shop money, and the other Is from a gift card I had. ye I got nothing much to say today, probably tomorrow WINK.
