@Zuljaras Not necessarily. COVID-19 will probably still be effecting the world come 2021, but there won’t be a brand new global pandemic every year. Also, there’s no real overreaction to a global pandemic. It’s a lot to take in.
Heigh Ho Heigh Ho. It’s off to work (from home) I go.
@BabyYoshi12 agreed. Anti-Matter literally heard of people dying and was explaining why he was mad and then Zuljaras comes along and ruin it. He's always been negative so I just ignore him. It is so much to take in truly.
@Anti-Matter I’m not sure what’s going on in Surabaya with this virus, but I can assure you the virus will eventually calm down. It likely will never die completely, but it will be much less common, like a flu.
I know that your a teacher, so I’m just curious, are they planning on returning to school this fall where you are?
Heigh Ho Heigh Ho. It’s off to work (from home) I go.
@BabyYoshi12
I got the news from TV and from WhatsApp group about 35 teachers on the other school died by Covid19 virus.
Due to that case, that school was being quarantined and this morning there was an official letter from government to every school at Surabaya to have Working From House Online teaching started tomorrow.
Tomorrow i will go to my school and have a meeting about that situation with all teachers and school principal.
Pardon of peoples in my hometown Surabaya with lack of awareness of this pandemic and more victims accumulated everyday.
@Link-Hero I miss physical buttons. Before I caved and got my first Smartphone about 7 years ago, I always bought phones with actual keyboards. Why did that have to stop? Just because iPhone did it? :/
I mean, I have grown used to them, I use them every day. But I don't like them and I am real glad they still making mechanical boards like this new one I am currently using.

@Zuljaras OK OK you win, I’m sorry you’re not negative! COVID-19 is just a very touching subject for me and I don’t like it when people make fun of it.
So I've been alternating between unpacking my stuff I brought back from Japan, and sorting through the stuff I left in storage here in the states, and I came across my old iPod Nano 4GB, I believe it's the 1st gen nano. I got it back at the end of jr. high school over 15 years ago. Just out of curiosity I plugged it in to see if it would even turn on, and to my very pleasant surprise, it actually works. Looks like the last time I used it was about 6-7 years ago. But it spent the last solid 5 years at least in storage just in a box, not even properly packed away.
And it not only still works, my old music is all still there. Of course, I don't even have that iTunes account anymore. Still, I am very impressed that it survived. I am gonna keep it as a novelty/collectible.

Tired of blazing white screens on my monitor, I found a firefox add-on called Dark Reader. Seems ok here on NIntendoLife. By clicking on it's icon, I can customize it's darkness by adjusting contrast & brightness. Does anyone by chance use a dark mode browser add-on that they reccomend?
@Heavyarms55 Wow that's cool. It's a pretty exciting feeling to find something missing that you've owned long ago. I used to have an iPod Touch back in my high school days.
Been awhile since I hopped into this thread, so how is it going chit-chatters? Quiet evening here so stopping by for a bit and just finished playing some Burnout Paradise.
This iPod talk reminds me, I still use a fourth generation nano. Battery life is still decent, just haven't used much over the years until recently.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
@Apportal Well it is one of my most NEGATIVE sides to make fun of Serious-Matter AND Anti-Matter as well. Just can't help it!
On the other hand the deadly virus has some positive sides for me. I work from home for the past 5 months and it seems like it will be like that for the rest of the year! I will not have to waste 2 hours every day of traveling which I hate!
@MarioLover92 I am toying around with grabbing Sonic Mania next time it goes on discount as I've heard that was a decent officially sponsored fan effort, but I'm still not 100% sold lol. Have you played that one?
@Heavyarms55 I was very pleased that I stuck with the Colony 6 reconstruction as there were a couple of points where searching and grinding for certain items became a chore (Those Rainbow Slugs...ugh). I almost gave up more than once, but I stuck with it since I was dying to see what the colony looked like in all its splendor. Some of the best quests in the game were there too.
I totally get life and distractions getting in the way of gaming lol. I'd been playing XC since early June and just finally wrapped everything up that I wanted to last week (barring Future Connected; taking a brief break before tackling it). Considering you've recently moved, jumping several time zones AND the International Date Line in the process, I daresay nobody blames you for not finishing the game yet. There's a ton of side content outside of the main story anyway. Definitely a meaty game, I sense a future replay.
I've been back in the office since mid-June; my furlough only lasted for a couple of weeks, and I worked from home for the 2 1/2 months before that. The company I work for is very reliant on the restaurant/bar and hospitality industries for most of our revenue, and my state started allowing a (staggered) reopening of some indoor establishments (with many restrictions) starting in late June/early July. My workplace has definitely implemented quite a few new protocols and understandably restricted or discontinued some extras for the time being, such as the free pretzels and the end-of-month birthday donuts.
Currently playing: Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy (Switch)
@Tyranexx Yes I've played Sonic Mania. As a massive fan of the Genesis Sonic games, I absolutely LOVE it! Easily the best Sonic game in recent years. Most of the zones are based on classic zones from Sonic 1, 2, 3, and CD, but they all have remixed layouts so it still feels like its own game. The new zones, as well as the special stages, are really good, too. Its soundtrack is nothing short of excellent, as well. There's also the Encore DLC (that's also bundled with Sonic Mania Plus, the retail version of the game), which adds two more characters and a sort of "second quest" to the game. I also enjoyed that. Given that you're not as big into the Genesis Sonic games as I am though, I'm not sure if you'll like it that much more than Sonic 2. I'd say there's no harm in getting it discounted.
