Based on this article from 2009, the stick Mad Catz made for Street Fighter 4 (the tournament edition one with the actual Sanwa parts, not the standard one with no name parts) cost $150. I'm not sure if it's the same stick as the newer ones though.
That article was written before S+ and 2+ were released, what you are seeing there are just old models that I wouldn't bother with as they would be almost impossible to find new and are not better than the new ones, actually they lack buttons (like L3 and R3). He is reviewing Tournament Edition, not even 2 or S which still are older than 2+ and S+. So yeah, just old models.
