I don’t really like talking on the phone, either. I’ve always preferred in person, or in writing. People on the phone tend to get my tone wrong if they’re not familiar with me. I blame them.

anyone know anything about the new "Call of Cthulhu" game coming ???
this site seem intent of advertising it and I'm a fan of Lovecraft, so this game intruiges me greatly, but can't actually find any info other than PC/PS/XB

Yeah, I've always preferred in-person communication (to an extent; I don't mind talking as part of a group, but when I'm the center of attention....well....I'm surprised that I did fairly well in speech class in college....) or text/writing. I think the problem is that I have a hard enough time with visual cues and tones in-person. I don't even like doing drive-up anywhere unless I absolutely need to. It's mostly an issue with strangers and automated systems (ugh), but I'm sometimes socially awkward even when talking to relatives on one. I pretty much put off most phone calls unless they're absolutely urgent and/or have a deadline. Thankfully, most of the communications related to my current job are either in person, via email, or with Slack. We have support people now to do a lot of the customer interaction. Before, I did interact with customers, and most went fine. A couple of times, however...ugh.
I've interviewed with this company before for a different position and did make it past the phone screen to an actual interview; unfortunately I'm not much better with in-person interviews since I'm being put on the spot. I didn't get the job, though during the interview I was under the impression that I would fit in better on one of the other teams if they had been hiring.
I by no means dislike aspects of my current job and in fact mostly enjoy the contract work I've been doing, but I really wish the company contracting my services would hire me instead. My benefits for my actual job are a little...lacking, and I know for a fact that their perks (and, for positions similar to mine, the pay) are much better.
I’ve worked in some form of a service aspect since high school, so I got used to addressing groups. Currently I mostly just have to hold meetings and presentations on the regular. But my training sessions are fun, they’re usually two groups of 30+ each.

I hate most cats, but my sister-in-law had a black cat that was just super cool and even snuggled up on my dog and they slept together all the time, but i admit, this cat was more doglike than typical catlike

Sanya is the sweetest cat ever...not once has she ever attacked someone. No matter how much you bugged the crap out of her, lol. Play with her tail, mess with her paws, all you'll get is purring and maybe she'll lick you. (or in my case, playful bites, lol)
You'd be hard-pressed to find an animal that I won't handle. I won't just run up to one randomly and bug it though. Wild animals deserve their space, and in the case of dogs I'll ask the owner before I pet it.
Cats pretty much indicate on their own if they want to be touched.
Just finished watching a Youtube series on Terrible Writing advice. That was both enlightening, and mildly depressing, since I've basically done almost all of them at least twice! Except for the horror-related stuff, since I hate horror, so I've only tried it once per sub-genre. And they were all terrible.
With that said, I did seriouly learn a bunch through all the sarcasm, and I got into it at an opportune time, since I've been in the first creative mood since March...it turns out I'm most creatively motivated and inspired when I've had a decent amount of rest, fresh air, and opportunities to immerse myself in music and/or new experiences...and I went 6 months without any of those things. Whoops.
