Yay! I finally got all the papers I needed and got my new shiny certificate that says I finished my degree in college!!

On the plus side, no more late nights studying or paying tuition. On the bad side.... I have to start job hunting. Ugh. I'm gonna need a drink to deal with that.

On a funnier note, the national soccer team here is obssesed with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and the Switch. They've posted videos and even celebrated a couple of goals last match like that xD Its funny, since that ignited a discussion in one of the main newspapers in the country of whether the Bullet Bill could be controlled in game or not due to one of the player's videos.

If anyone's interested, I made a script to hide all comments involving Sligeach_Eire on articles here. While I bear him no ill will, I think his comments are unproductive and negative.

Better idea: If there's a user you don't want to see, click on the "Ignore" button on one of their comments.

That's way better than running a script targeted at one specific user every time you load a page

We have an ignore function, just use that...

The "Ignore" button only hides comments that he made. This script hides all comments replying to him as well, which are usually just as unproductive.

Please no. Just no.

Also, this script runs basically instantly. No need to worry about slowing down the site.

All 4 of them? Cool. I'm mostly a lurker, he just kind of irks me into commenting sometimes.

Well, then put him in your ignore list. It will do the same thing as your code.

This whole "everybody hates Sligeach_Eire" thing is super unhealthy, and the thing is he's doing nothing wrong or against the rules.

At this point, the problem is the people who spam all day about him.

I'm not challenging the mod. It totally makes sense to remove code-based things from forum posts. I actually wondered if that would happen from the start.

And I can understand not wanting to target a specific user as well.

I just wondered if anybody else wanted the script so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Like I said, "Ignore" only hides him specifically, not replies to his comments.
