@PikminFan22: It could be, there's a kind of amnesia that makes you forget the source of the things you create. But that's just an idea, it's not a complete song by any means, unlike the RPG-ish song I posted after that, that one's completely original
@Freeon-Leon: That sounds pretty good! Any tips for someone who's looking to compose some music? I'm working on a game for SmileBASIC, and I want to give it a great soundtrack, but I have very little experience composing music. (About all I've done is stuff in WarioWare D.I.Y. like this remake of Octopus from G&W Gallery:
)
I've got ideas and melodies, just not sure how to get them from my head into a game. I'll be using MML, btw.
@Waluigi: @Megumi
I agree that's disgusting, this is so much more what I think we needed.
Something inside of me just died.
@mystman12: Hmm, always try to hum the songs in your head or even with your mouth. That will make everything sound more natural and not by the numbers. Also, remember to have some kind of structure, while I used to hate song structures at the beginning, they can be really useful and you can still make new things using them. Innovation can come from other places.
I've never studied music formally so I don't know what else to tell you... I tend to analyze songs I like in order to see patterns and discover what makes them so good.
