Topic: The Animated Avengers

Looks like the Avengers are getting animated (again; their first appearance was in the Ultimate Avengers straight-to-DVD movies), and their new show is premiering this fall on Disney XD. Looks like The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes has epic potential judging from the trailer on IGN's homepage (there's no direct link to it yet).

I saw that earlier. Looks... decent. I'm not liking the voices though.

Yeah it's mostly the fact that it's a TV show that has me excited, ha ha. I'm just thinking about how awesome the Spectacular Spider-Man was: following the daily life of Peter Parker and sprinkling around longer, more complicated story arcs. Imagine that with Avengers characters! The show could just as easily be terrible though.

Haven't see anything on the new series yet, but as long as it's not anything like "Super Hero Squad", i'll be happy.

P.S. -- The Ultimate Avengers DVD-movies were not the first for animated Avengers. In the late 90s there was "Avengers: United They Stand", which had a roster based on the old West Coast Avengers team (Hawkeye, Tigra, Wonder Man, etc). While plenty of Avengers appeared in other Marvel animateds through the years, i don't know if they'd ever been specifically referred to as "Avengers" before then.

B) I've since watched the entire show and it's awesome.

SuperHero Squad was better than this. And I HATE SHS. Now that's saying something.

Are you even a Fan of the comics. If you were you would really enjoy EMH and SHS for all the little nods here and there and taking bits and pieces from all of marvel's different universes.

I did read them when i was like 12... But yeah, i guess i was exagurrating a little bit.

I wonder if they will ever make a TV show out of Marvel's The Defenders? Those were good comics.

I hear they might be in season 2. Also the defenders are gettinga new series soon.

What? I missed last weeks episode! Does Disney do reruns of the Avengers? I must catch back up!

This show has turned out to be one of the better super hero shows. I like seeing the heroes clash with each other, yet they still manage to work together and save the world.

Yep still think its alittle early to do secret invasion and the reasons for the invasion won't even make sense in this universe.

But as long as i get this in cartoon form im okay
