Topic: So why do Nintendo fans now hate Iga for only supporting PS4 and Xbox but it was ok for Bayonetta 2?

Kinda strikes me as odd are Nintendo fans that hypocritical? They laughed and mocked Sony and MS fans for not getting Bayonetta 2 but now that (at least at this point) there's no Wii U or 3DS version of Bloodstained Iga is a jerk and they are ready to burn him at the stake. So someone make some sense out of this?

I want the best possible version I can get which means either an exclusive or PC.

This isn't the same, this game is being crowd funded so is heavily reliant on the Castlevania fanbase which has quite a following on Nintendo systems so not even having it as a stretch goal is a unfortunate turn of events. Personally I'm not fussed as I'll get it on Steam but can understand why some are.

Well I believe the thought process is, Bayonetta 2 was paid for by Nintendo. Bloodstained is being paid for by consumers. Bayonetta 2 couldn't come to other consoles because Nintendo Paid for it, why would they release it for other systems? Bloodstained is being paid for by consumers and the consumers are waiting it for a certain console. I won't back it if it doesn't come to Wii U, but I will probably buy it on a Steam Sale on PC in the future. I am disappointed it isn't on Wii U, but I am not mad about it. Since it is skipping my console of preferance, I will not be backing it. However that might change, there are hints to it coming to Wii U. (and some hints of a PS3/360 versions)

But as people said above, please don't lump millions in with what a vocal minority is saying.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Iga's game is crowdfunded, there is no reason to think Nintendo fans wouldn't participate in the KS campaign if they knew it was coming to Wii U. Bayo 2 was funded by Nintendo, not really the same thing as a KS campaign not including Wii U.

2 completely different situations. Iga and his team were free to choose what consoles their game releases on. Bayonetta 2 was completely funded by Nintendo so they could get exclusive rights to make sure it's exclusive to their console.

Same reasons that "millions" of Sony and Microsoft fans cried about not getting Bayonetta or anything Nintendo but are fine with Nintendo systems not having some games. Obviously they are all hypocrites!

Who's that angry over Iga not "supporting" the Wii U? And who's to say there won't be a Wii U and/or 3DS version eventually?

I don't see how this is even comparable to Bayonetta 2. As others have said, one is crowdfunded game while the other is a game that was made possible because Nintendo funded it. Yes, Nintendo fans mocked PS and Xbox fans for it but PS and Xbox fans do the same and more, so whatever.

Because Nintendo fans are people too, I dunno this "question" seems rather pretentious.

Bayonetta was funded by Nintendo (and probably wouldn't exist without that funding), and so it became an exclusive. Bloodstained is a crowdfunded game that's funded by fans of Castlevania, but leaves certain systems out, so the fanbase feels a bit shafted (the fact that Castlevania started on the NES most likely helped with that). To be fair, he never said it would never happen. It could very well happen someday.

There is nothing here...except for the stuff I just typed...

It's not Nintendo fans, it's the internet as a whole- we just like to complain

I had found it unprofessional when “certain sites” had articles that gloated about the Bayonetta 2 exclusivity.

To keep things short only the underdog really matters anymore in videogames not big companys like SONY. A crybaby videogame fan about porting is more or less not realizing the truth.

All of this stuff will drop in price and value and only on an Nintendo console it will have any value at all in the later years.

It is cheap disposable entertainment. Value in the distant future don't see why that is even remotely a concern for anybody.

I think the short answer to the question is that the Wii U is a different animal than the PS4/X1/PC. All 3 of those systems are pretty similar to develop for and I would imagine they would want to create it on profitable platforms. Plus, lets be honest here, Bloodstained is estimated to come out around March 2017. I doubt the Wii U will even be supported by Nintendo then.

Eh. It's a UE4 game and Wii U can't run UE4. Why would he base the decision of what engine to use on such a small fan base as the Wii U? The Wii U user base, especially those buying 3rd party games is insignificant when it comes to these descisions. If it fits their plans, sure, but no way will they let such a small number of people influence things.

Question can be asked in another way. Why do sony fans now love Iga after claiming the Igavania on GBA and DS were just bad rehash?

According to this link:
http://yachtclubgames.com/2014/08/sales-one-month/

Shovelknight sold more than 100K copies on Nintendo systems one month after the release and in America alone.
The number of backer for Bloodstained in the whole world is 20K
So yeah there is an audience on Nintendo systems. So maybe he will use the extra money to make a game for the 3DS. Like Inafune did with Azure Striker Gunvolt
