I'm best at fighting games (and a few other genres) I've mastered plenty of SNK games and I really like to play AoF & FF more than any other fighting games
@Mickeymac Do you have the PC version of the game? It has a fan-made netplay client (as well as an English translation which rocks). I'm way out of practice though.
But still, local multiplay is where it shines. 4-player mode is insanity. In a good way.
EDIT: Oh sorry, you have ver.A. Ah well.
I just got the PC version, actually.:3 No region locking. Didn't know about the Translation and Online patches, though!

My piracy sense is tingling...
I couldn't netplay with you anyway, since our latency would be so high it would be disastrous for the planet's well-being.

Ah. I probably wouldn't wanna patch it anyways, I've lost many game messing with those. and hey, they're selling the PC version on Play-Asia

I know, I bought my copy from Play-Asia... but shipping is never that fast.
The English patch works perfectly fine and really helps with story mode. I highly suggest you get it. It installs to a separate folder so you don't have to worry about losing the original game.
The netplay "patch" is a separate program which doesn't modify the original game.

Meh, not into 3D fighters too much (cept Soulcaliber)... i find those a lot more based on landing large hits rather than doing a bunch of crazy combos. its also easier to dodge so I suck at hitting guys...

@90's Gamer Even better. Samurai Shodown is a great series which I really want to get into.
@WaveBoy Power Stone 2 was awesome, one of my favourite multiplayer brawlers of all time. I would love to see a Power Stone 3. Capcom has a habit if leaving its smaller properties alone for a while, but it's never forgotten any of them. Power Stone was big enough that it had an anime series. We may yet see a Power Stone 3.
The Best Fighting game on the Wii so far is Tatsunoko vs Capcom. That even beginner to these type of fighting games can get in to it. [youtube:T8wtZ8vo-bc] Sadly the online of this game is full of Rage Quitters and Spammers.
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...

I love Tatsunoko vs. Capcom! Though I don't agree that it's the best on the Wii, but it's definitely up there. Funny, when I was last online, I continuously got killed by some really pro dudes who you could tell knew what they were doing. I was pretty late in, but I never encountered those spammers you were talking about.
Also, I too love Samurai Shodown, and I'd love to see a Power Stone 3.
Virtua Fighter 2, 4 and 5 are indeed excellent games. I was hooked on VF 5 until the X-Box 360 broke down, leaving scratches on my mint, carefully handled discs. I was trough with it, and went back to my good old Nintendo.
I like some fighting games. My favorite series are...
Smash bros. Budokai Tenkaichi Dead or Alive Power Stone Soul Calibur
Liked every sc but 4. Bad thing about fighting games is they're boring without friends to go against. I liked FF Dissidia. Although I think there should be more smash bros style games. Imagine a final fantasy smash bros crossover. Maybe 40 characters from each.
Great games stem from great ideas. Great ideas stem from great minds. Great minds think alike... Or so they say.

Super Final Fantasy Bros. would be amazing, I agree.
Yes i really like fighting games, Street Fighter and King of fighters are my favourits. And im pretty good, okay i just fight against friends but nobody of them can stop my Ryu / Kyo rage 1 month ago i got capcom vs. tatsunoko, but it was a game of my brother so he traded it with other games .
