I don't like those movies. Real spies are nothing like James Bond. It's pure fantasy.
Who cares man? I see it for...... wait... are you quoting Metal gear Solid 3? Clever

@Swiket I'm playing through Snake Eater 3D now so I actually got that reference.
I saw the movie and thought it was very well done. The first 45 minutes or so didn't really wow me - it was just a generic action movie. But it picked up somewhere in the middle and kept up the pace. Javier Bardem was great as the villain. Highly recommend it.
I actually compared this movie's story to The Dark Knight Rises.

Yeah, James Bond is a terrible spy, but 00 Agents are not really "Spies". They're meant to be MI6's elite agents. While I'm sure spying is part of that, "Elite Agent" entails far more than snooping around undetected. Also, a fictional story is fictional! Who wouda' thunk?
As For Skyfall: As I haven't seen any of the other James Bond movies (besides the original Casino Royale), I can't comment on the movie's relative quality. However, I thought it was quite enjoyable! All of the performances were top-notch (barring in mind Javier Bardem, who was occasionally weird) and there was a great variety in the set-pieces. Yeah, the plot was a bit hole-y and hand-waving when it came to the bits involving computers, but otherwise it's triple-A material.

I believe it was mentioned somewhere that either the director or the writer were heavily influenced by TDK Rises when working on Skyfall. You can definitely see that there heavy influences, especially with the main plot.

It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!

And even though it's fiction, I can't help but comparing myself to Bond...
