Topic: Should the Conker series get a reboot?

Should the Conker Series get a reboot/remaster? Thoughts!

He was suppose to be the selling point of Project Spark a few years ago but they dropped it in the end.

At the end of the day Conker's Bad Fur Day was a flop game so it will need some work on the formula, like it had a British sense of humour so if that doesn't return its no longer the Conker we once knew but it probably would hinder it's success if it did.

I would love to see a reboot of Conker but im not sure if it would hold up by today's gaming standards (it definitely work without that quintessential British humour).
The gameplay (and cameea) felt dated when it got an Xbox release a few years back but a full overhaul would definitely be welcome.

I'm not sure it should. People only remember Conker from Bad Fur Day, the core concept just wouldn't resonate these days. A mascot platformer with cursing was meant to fly in the face of Nintendo's "kiddy" image and, appeal to teenagers trying too hard to be more grown up.

In a time where Nintendo has no problem publishing a game like Bayonetta, the joke isn't as funny. And on Xbox it makes even less sense.

eh, I really liked it on n64...it went from 3d platformer to 3rd person shooter with spoofs on different movies in a fun way

in hindsight though, was the platforming that good or challenging?...was the shooting any good? i really want to say yes, and if it went up on eshop I'd probably fall for it

the xbox multiplayer was rad

Yes, I think Conker works very well as a satirical video game series, kind of like the video game equivalent of Family Guy or South Park. We need Conker back to make fun of modern video game practices and for more general parodies of different types of video games (I can think of a really, really funny parody of Mario, but it's too inappropriate to share).

i would like to see Conker return. improve from what the original had and add on to it.
