Here you can share your experiences and having discussion about Rhythm games you like to play.

I'm a huge fan of Dance Dance Revolution games and I have been playing DDR Arcade for 20 years and still active playing DDR until today when the DDR Arcade machine is still available in my hometown.
Also, I have a lot of DDR games on PS2 and Wii.

I also have interest with other Rhythm games by Konami such as:.
Para Para Paradise
Beatmania IIDX
Drum Mania / GITADORA
Pop'n Music
Keyboardmania

The other rhythm games I played from different games company such as:
Taiko no Tatsujin by Bandai Namco
Mai Mai Arcade by SEGA

What is your favorite Rhythm games ?

I love the 80's music ! 😎

The Rhythm Heaven games and the Hatsune Miku Project Diva games are my favorites.

Rhythm Paradise/Heaven is my favourite - the funny and colourful scenarios give it a lot more personality than most rhythm games. On Switch I have VOEZ, Avicii Invector, Thumper and Crypt of the Necrodancer, which are all good games too, though I've never got very far in Necrodancer as it's so hard.

Not sure if it counts but, I quite like Guitar Hero 3.

So, I wonder to all of you guys.
Until which level you can play the songs from Rhythm games you played ?

My current skills:
Dance Dance Revolution = certain Level 18 on Expert / Challenge, with score around 60% - 75%.
Can get AAA score for certain under level 13 songs / most under level 10 songs.

Para Para Paradise = 7 Stars on Expert

GITADORA = level 7.00 on Basic / Advanced / Extreme / Master

Pop'n Music = 5 keys mode, 9 keys are still too hard for me even on Easy.

Beatmania IIDX = 5 keys Option as long not above level 10.
7 keys + Disc Scratch ate still too hard for me.

MaiMai Finale = Level 12 & 12+ with score around 80%. I can pass level 13 songs too but frequently my score is under 80% since in MaiMai there is No Game Over screen.

I'm all about Cadence of Hyrule. Other than that, I haven't gotten into many rhythm games.

One of my favorite Rhythm game by Konami, Beatmania IIDX 30 RESIDENT.

I still suck with this game but I can try to play with 5 keys option first.

One of the best Beatmania IIDX opening song in my opinion after Beatmania IIDX 13 DistorteD opening theme.

The gameplay looks interesting for me.
I still see a little bit DDR / Beatmania style.
But why the trailer music with banger 80's song sounds way much better than the songs in gameplay ??
Where is da 80's songs for gameplay ??

All the difficulty levels from Chromatic Burst by JAKAZiD on DDR A3.
It looks so huge leap from Beginner on level 1 then Expert on level 17.
Not to mention the Expert level have very nasty crossover arrow patterns so it forcing your legs movement have to switch to the left to the right.
The song is very banger with glitches style of vocal rendering at the beginning part.

Lots of good rhythm/music out there. Cytus Alpha, Deemo, Avicii Invector, Superbeat Xonic, Musynx, Voez, Muse Dash, etc. But I think those games that mashup the genre are more my taste. Songbird Symphony, Sayonara Wild Hearts, Rez, Child of Eden, No Straight Roads, etc.

Giraffe and Annika is very janky. But it's a "you won't mind this is a 6/10" charming kind of jank adventure / platforming / rhythm game.

The newest Beatmania IIDX game Beatmania IIDX 31 EPOLIS has been revealed and the location test was from 28 July 2023 - 30 July 2023.
That's so crazy, already 31 installment of Beatmania IIDX ?! 😯

I like the UI design of Music Select, looks pretty slick in white silver color and the asymmetrical background behind looks really futuristic.

I'm generally pretty terrible at rhythm games, but I've really enjoyed what I've played of Theatrhythm Final Bar Line. Fortunately there are difficulty settings because the highest difficulty destroys me.

@Magician I quite enjoyed Giraffe and Annika. It's a good game in the category 'sort of vaguely a rhythm game but people who dislike or are terrible at rhythm games can still enjoy it'.

So, what Rhythm games you have ever played and until which level difficulty you can play them ?

Yo, I have attended MaiMai Finale Competition at TimeZone Pakuwon Trade Centre Surabaya this afternoon.
I'm not really good in playing MaiMai on difficulty higher than level 11 as I still have lesser experience in playing MaiMai than playing DDR.
I didn't have any expectation to win the competition as I already knew my skill in playing MaiMai. It was really bad.
The younger players in their age 15 - 20+ years old have way better skill in playing MaiMai than me. Some of them are really God players.
I'm already old, 38 years old.

Don't look at my disgusting high scores. 😖
I only got around 75% - 85% from level 11 - 12+ songs.
The other players, the almost God players could get more than 90%.
Some of them could get more than 99% ! 🤯
I just nothing compared with them. 😩
I got eliminated in Elimination Round from 14 players that got picked Top 4 to continue on Semi Final Round and I landed on 11th position from 14 contestants. 😣
Not surprised, I knew I will gonna failed.

New Rhythm games on Multi consoles, Gunvolt Records.
The gameplay looks like Beatmania style with a little bit MaiMai style for the sliding parts.

Um...
Currently I have played the 5 panels dance machine since 3 months ago and I could play until level S14.
One song that still stuck in my head from XX machine.
