DDR 2013 System music on DDR A3 !!! 😃😃😃
Really hyped !
Even Yasuhiro Taguchi already quit from Konami, his songs still got contributed for BEMANI games.
I only play kids games with a few rated Teen games that suitable for me.
OMG...!!! 😃😃😃 DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION WORLD
New DDR game announced due tomorrow after DDR A3!!!
The character design of EMI and RAGE looks different.
I really hope there are some new interface, new direction, new difficulty rating and more videos for all songs like during DDR EXTREME 2 era.
My favorite rhythm game right now would be Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage! on mobile, if that does count. The gameplay really just consists of tapping and flicking to notes on the screen. I’d say it’s really fun, even in short gaming sessions. The game is hard of course, but there are five different difficulties available, even for beginners, since the developers wanted anyone of any skill level to be able to play the game. I play on the second most hardest difficulty level, Expert, though I used to play on Hard when starting out. I sometimes do Master, the hardest difficulty, but I suck at it
It does have issues, like bad lagging at random moments (especially with music videos playing in the background) and sometimes cutting or removing content, which I believe they did for a story event and resulted in a ton of upset people. I can remember the reason they cut the story event, but I won’t say anything about it since it’ll likely make the forum go off-topic and isn’t for a reason related to gaming. I can’t complete a small session of the game well with a music video playing in the background from how distracting it is and how some notes blend in with the background, though there is an option to play without anything moving in the background. I can remember nearly getting a full combo on a song I had difficulty with, but because I stupidly let a music video play in the background, these golden notes blended in nearing the end and I couldn’t tell where the notes were going. Another issue I had was when I first played the game years ago is that I’d get quit out of the game upon completing songs and I’d have to redo it again, but that was fixed luckily.
It’s not a technical issue and moreso a personal gripe I have, but I hate the gacha system it has in place, which acts kind only when it feels like it. I also am not a fan of how they separate currency earned in-game with currency earned by using real money. However, I should note that the game can be played without spending real money or using the gacha.
I did want to play Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX on the 3DS for a while now (maybe since 2015 actually) but they shut down the EShop and physical copies go up to nearly a hundred now (at least from what I saw on an Amazon listing), so I’m probably not going to buy or play that anytime soon. It has never been rereleased and they likely aren’t going to do so unfortunately. I am aware that they released another Project DIVA game on the Switch, but I don’t have a Switch anymore since it transferred households…I should also mention I suck at playing rhythm games where the controls are with buttons and not by tapping or flicking a screen. I tried playing another rhythm game on my Xbox and just immediately quit out of it when I kept timing the notes incorrectly lol. I think it actually had an achievement that’s unlocked by simply failing a song chart!
I am not very good at Rythm games, sadly! They don't really play well for people with Dyspraxia like me, but I like them when they are mini games within things. ToeJam and Earl is a notable series for including them in a fun way I can manage.
Yo...!
Recently I played Arcade Rhythm game Sound Voltex Exceed Gear by KONAMI at my local game Arcade.
The machine only playable by 1 person.
The game have 4 square buttons, 2 Effector buttons and two knob buttons.
The way you play Sound Voltex is pretty much similar as Beatmania but you must spin the knob buttons when you see the Pink / Blue Neon long line.
I still newbie for this game so I played on difficulty level until 10 from 19.

Oh, if you have Old XBOX and XBOX 360, you can try Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 1 - 4 (Old XBOX) and DDR UNIVERSE 1 - 3 (XBOX 360) + Dance Master / Dance Evolution by Konami on XBOX 360 (Kinect game).
I only play kids games with a few rated Teen games that suitable for me.
@Anti-Matter I see, they have a few Dance Dance Revolution games on there? Were they ever ported to newer Xbox consoles? I unfortunately don’t have the OG Xbox or 360.

Currently playing: Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage! (Mobile) and Happy Tree Friends: Deadeye Derby (Mobile)

Unfortunately, those DDR games are not Backward Compatible with XBOX ONE and Series X since DDR have licensed songs and XBOX machine BC structure is not BC by disc directly but need some BC from update for certain title.
I only play kids games with a few rated Teen games that suitable for me.
@Anti-Matter I see. I also think they discontinued the Kinect and it’s no longer used for the modern Xbox consoles. Are the Dance Dance Revolution games super fun? I usually like to play rhythm games on my phone that require me to tap the screen to the beat.

DDR is super fun Rhythm game, but it also depend on the songs available.
DDR on consoles can be played with both normal controller or dancing pad controller.
DDR on consoles available on PS1, PS2, PS3, GameCube, Wii, XBOX, XBOX 360.
The Best DDR games are on PS2, PS1, Wii and XBOX.
But, the songlist for each region are different due to licensing.
My recommendation if you have PS2, XBOX and Wii.
PS2 Japan
DDR EXTREME
DDR SuperNOVA
DDR SuperNOVA 2
DDR X
DDR MAX 2 (7th Mix)
DDR Party Collection
PS2 USA
DDR EXTREME 2
DDR MAX 2
DDR X
DDR EXTREME
DDR MAX
DDR SuperNOVA
DDR Disney Channel
XBOX USA
DDR Ultramix 4
DDR Ultramix 2
DDR Ultramix 1
DDR Ultramix 3
Wii USA
DDR II
DDR Hottest Party 2
DDR Hottest Party 3
DDR Disney Groove
PS1 Japan
DDR 3rd Mix
DDR Extra Mix
DDR 4th Mix
DDR 5th Mix
DDR Disney Rave
Note: on DDR 3rd Mix, DDR 4th Mix, DDR EXTRA Mix, DDR 5th Mix there are Eurodance songs by E-ROTIC with lyrics and title about sex. The songs are really great to listen but the lyrics... If you don't really mind to hear woman's moaning voice and talking about sex, you can still enjoy their songs. 😅
Fun fact, the E-ROTIC songs are only released on DDR Japan version due to their lyrics and it will never be allowed get released on USA, except only two song by E-ROTIC which have non sexual lyrics: In The Heat of The Night which also appeared on DDR EXTREME 2 PS2 USA and Cat's Eye Ventura Mix on DDR EXTRA Mix which is Eurobeat English version of Japanese song Cat's Eye. If you can handle Rare games with their 18+ stuffs, I'm sure you can handle those sexual lyrics songs by E-ROTIC. 😉
Not gonna lie, I like their songs too and it feel hilarious to sing the lyrics with sexual moaning that I can pretend. 😆
Also, there are some censorship from DDR Japan version to USA such as the title changed for the song title such as Gentle Stress (AMD Sexual Mix) to Gentle Stress (Sensual Mix), The Whistle Song (Blow My Whistle B***h) to The Whistle Song (Blow My Whistle Baby), RoboGirl in DDR SuperNOVA PS2 USA by Crystal Method with actual title Roboslut from their album, etc.
Fun fact also, there was a Background change for the song AFRONOVA which the Japanese version was a photoshopped of Reese Witherspoon image into Jaguar Lady creature.
Take a look the comparison.
Old version from DDR 3rd Mix
Actual Reese Witherspoon image
New version background
Also, AFRONOVA was one of the most overplayed DDR song on Arcade as a lot of people really like that fast paced 200 BPM Tribal DDR song during that time. Usually the casual players played on Basic difficulty and start performing jumping by back toward the screen on that part.
