What's it mean when your topic gets locked?

It means no one can post in it anymore.

Because it has been answered or their is an older topic for the topic

I'm sorry. It's probably because we have multiple topics already or it got out of hand.

It means your thread is either...

• Unneeded, there's another another older thread that answers your question or serves the same purpose.
• Unwanted, you want attention and you are too obvious.

I'm sure that sums the reasons most threads get deleted or locked, the most common is #1.

The main reasons are either its a troll thread or its a duplicate thread.

Like the others said, it's probably either a duplicate thread or it's just plain dupid.

and no problem! I was new a month ago...

If you even have a question on why your thread was locked you can always click on Contact at the bottom of the page and ask a mod why it was locked. Also the mods usually send an email to you as to why your thread is locked so if your thread is ever locked the first place to check is your email.
