Wait Anya Spider-Girl was canceled? If so that's just lame. But um I think if they had someone great to play the roll and someone that is a good director It would be a great movie and people would come and watch the film and pay for it. Some films today just don't have it and if they can't find anyone good enough to make the movie, then just please forget it.

Yeah, unfortunately Anya's Spider-Girl series was cancelled. There is however an upcoming Spider-Girl limited series (5 issues, i think) kicking off in the next few weeks that ties into the "Spider Island" event (where people throughout Manhattan gain Spider-powers following a villan's genetically-enhanced bedbugs that have been released in the city). Anya's also gotten her own spider-powers back recently (having lost them a while back when she was still going by "Arachne") as a result. She is a character that the Marvel boys like in general, so while she won't have her own series, she'll surely be popping up in some other Marvel U book (maybe Avengers Academy? They've already laid the ground work where she could fit into that series at some point down the road).

Great, Awesome can't wait to see what that will look like. If I was good at creating comics I would make my own Anya Spider-Girl Comics.

@Radixxs: I wouldn't start throwing out the racism/political correctness statements, that's what doomed the last Spider-Man thread I posted on many months back. People were refusing to understand what I was trying to say.
I'm okay with this new Spider-Man. It's not Peter Parker, so it's not rewriting the origins of Spider-Man that I've known for no good reason, it's just introducing a new character (of already many) that has taken on the mantle of Spider-Man.
...his decent isn't so controversial either, from what I remember Spider-Man 2099 (Miguel O'Hara) was half Irish and half Mexican. There has been talks about having him be a homosexual as well.
It should be an interesting read and again, costume looks pretty cool.
Also, this is a secondary series from what I understand. C'mon, who are we kidding, Peter Parker Spider-Man won't be killed and replaced any time soon without an uproar.

So the original Peter Parker is dead? I ask because of the title of this thread.
Read the thread. He was killed off in the "Ultimate Marvel" (aka 1610) universe. He is still alive and web-swinging in the "standard" (aka 616) Marvel Universe.
Yeah I think if they seriously killed him off for good that would upset fans to no end and they would lose a lot of business and I for one would be really upset and stop buying Marvel products and watching or reading anything by Marvel so I doubt that they would ever kill Peter Parker for good.
