And yeah, FLCL is definitely my pick. I liked Zatch Bell, but it did get old fast, and this is coming from somebody who can watch Super Robot shows for long durations of time...

FLCL, even though part of me feels sad since I really enjoyed Mushi-shi. Out of the entire series though, it was the music that did it for me. Also, you forgot Crazy Sunshine

That almost got in, but I figured 5 songs was enough for one day.

FLCL. I never would have liked music if I hadn't watched that show. It continues to be a pillar that defines who I am...and Never Knows Best will be forever burned in my mind.

I enjoyed Fooly cooly but I really don't get why it gets so much praise. Its nowhere near as good as everyone says it is. I haven't seen Zatch bell but it looks like something I'd like more than Fooly cooly so that's what I'm voting for.

If I don't need to look hard to see it, then is it the insanity? Because when I think of why people like FLCL, that's what immediately springs to mind but surly that wouldn't cause people to call it the best anime ever.

Well, actually, it's because it looks insane, but actually there's some deep method to their madness. Also it's different and has great animation and Music. And it's just so damn entertaining. It's 6 episodes and only gets better the more you watch it.

Anyways, FLCL wins, 12-1.

you make that sound like a good thing, that arc is fairly meh and half of it is exposition for the series answer to magic. At the very least it's the worst part of the series. Thankfully it's not too long...or much of a tournament arc for that matter.
