Topic: Nominate your ideal summer holiday game

I decided to prepare a game for my 6 year old to play this summer if the opportunity arises, so I redownloaded Wind Waker HD on the Wii U. Ever since I've been itching to have another taste of it myself, so I started a new Hero Mode save today.

That game just feels perfect for a summer holiday adventure. Great visuals, family friendly, and a lovely nautical theme to it.

What other games do people feel are particularly suited to the summer holidays?

You guys had me at blood and semen.

What better way to celebrate than firing something out of the pipe?

Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.

It's also rained here every afternoon for the past 15 days. So, it's fitting.
I also play a bit more lighthearted things during the summer, more Tetris, Dr. Mario, puzzle games with catchy tunes. October is typically my biggest game month.

I honestly want to play Wind Waker so bad (nostaglia of college) but I don't have Wii U or Switch...and I don't want to buy on a new console. Can't afford it right meow and I feel like all my consoles just become a "Netflix port" for the most part.

@HobbitGamer rained for two weeks? Where is this at? lol I love rain, miss the monsoon season.

I dug through my pile of 3ds games I haven't played since 2016 (most I literally put less than 2 hrs), I've booted up Story of Seasons (on another thread I think I said it was "Harvest Moon" but it's not...it certainly plays like it). I'm 're-figuring' out the controls and gameplay. But it's been fun so far.

When I think of summer and gaming, what comes to mind is playing Game Boy or GBA games on the couch in my parent's air conditioned living room. I grew up in a neighborhood where I was basically the only kid - so I largely spent my summers by myself at home. But no particular game comes to mind for summer. Just sitting on the couch playing GBA games while my Dad does something in the kitchen or computer room(just the spare bedroom we kept the old Dell desktop in)
