Personally I tried the demo for DQM:TDP, and didn't like it very much, but that's beside the point.
Where are the reviews for this game? No Nintendo Life, no other reviewers, not even IGN. Only Famitsu, where I assume there is a bit more Dragon Quest bias in Japan.
Is this a bad sign? Even some of the worst games of the year had reviews before release. But, it's already been about a day. To anyone who's played this, what do you think? Do you think Square Enix doesn't have a lot of confidence in it?
That is a bit odd seeing that Dragon Quest: Treasures last year had many reviews a couple days before release. Perhaps there was an issue or last minute fix which prevented early review copies? It does take time to review. I assume we'll be getting more reviews soon once the reviewers have the time to go through the game. We get spoiled with some game getting instant-reviews, but that certainly doesn't happen with all games for various reasons.
@imadeanaccount I feel like Dragon Quest games are extremely good at making demos, so if you don't like the demo, I would say the game simply isn't for you; a lot of others have been enjoying the demo.

I'm being facetious in drawing parallels, but I'm tickled by the idea of everyone petulantly not reviewing it due to the codes being sent out late
