The magazine I've been reading for the last 13 years (6 years in it's current iteration), NGamer is shutting down.
All current subscriptions will be transferred over to the Official Nintendo Magazine, which is a bit of a sore point for me because as an official magazine, they tend to rate Nintendo's first party games higher than they deserve.
NGAMER was the only unofficial Nintendo magazine on the market, and I'm sad to see it go - not least because I really enjoyed the features and writing.
On the bright side former editor of NGAMER, Matthew Castle is at the helm, and I felt he really brought something to NGAMER during his time there.
You're not the only one, I subscribed, but only for about the past year or so, but i'm still very sad!
Looks like it's back to ONM for me...
Currently playing: Rhythm Heaven, Minecraft (XBLA), Pokemon B/W 2, Halo 4, The Denpa Men: They Came By Wave, Fallblox, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (GCN)
Will be playing soon: Paper Mario: Sticker Star, Cave Story +, Wii U: NSMBU, Nintendo Land, (And lots more!)
Sh*t... I know what is to loose the only serious Nintendo magacine. Here we lost it three years ago, and i dont want to go to Nintendo Acción with their reviews for little kids D: Know that feeling, bro.
This news is apparently 4 days old - I only found out today.
A letter came with my subscription telling me the news.
That's very sad...
Yeah, I found out on their website. It was horrible really, I just went on their site just to see any new articles, and I read quite a shocker!
RIP NINTENDO GAMER!!

Always sad to see print publications go. I admit I haven't read the magazine in quite some time - I was introduced to N64 Magazine and stayed with it through NGC Magazine, but NGamer was a step backwards for me so I unsubbed - but obviously the team there have dabbled in various different magazines over the years and they're bound to be disappointed at the magazine's closure. At the very least, it lives on in the website, which I'm sure will remain very popular.
