@WhiteKnight Personally, I'd be more afraid if more amatuers are allowed to outshine the real talent by pulling such crap, but I suppose that is neither here nor there.

Back on topic, Army of Darkness is another rare Horror movie that I love, though I'll admit I'm not even sure if it actually counts as "horror".

You liked the Halloween reboot films?

I think you might be the first Halloween fan that liked the reboots. What did you like about them?

My favourite of that franchise has always been H20

Does Psycho count? It's really early, but I really enjoyed that one.

I also like Alien and Aliens quite a bit, although I find Alien to be the better horror/Sci-Fi film, while I see Aliens as the better movie as a whole.

Also, what do you guys think about Blair Witch Project?

I liked Army of Darkness, but yeah it's not really a horror movie, its more Comedy Horror, than Horror Comedy if you know what I mean. The ending was hilarious though, no spoiling that, still we could've had a Evil Dead 4 or Army of Darkness 2, but They decided to reboot The Evil Dead instead, I don't know when the movie comes out though.

I loved Blair Witch, and still really like it even though the original impact it had has been diluted by the load of imitators and style-theives that came after. I originally saw it in the theater before any sort of buzz had really gotten out about it; it was an old crappy theater with maybe three or four other people in the screening. Definitely walked out of that one with some good horror-unease going on.

Blair Witch was incredible. Not a great film on a technical level, but the actual theme behind it was flawlessly executed.

I'm not sure, as horror isn't really my thing. I'm more of an action/comedy movie sort of guy. But if I had to choose, maybe Friday the 13th.. I've always liked Jason Vorheez!

I could say this if it counted, but, is it scary even? I didn't actually find it scary, adolescent human female toys are much more scary to me.

I used to travel the stars, then I discovered Earth, and these incredibly addicting things called 'Video Games.'

Has anyone heard of these old B&W horror movies?: The Ape Man, The Ghoul, The Indestructible man. I'm not sure many people would consider them horror movies anymore but whatever, I liked them, got them cheap and they're good, just a little campy if you know what I mean. I also have Dracula and The Wolfman that I bought recently, but I haven't actually watched them yet, what's your guys' take on B&W horror movies from the 30s,40s, 50s?

I'm inclined to agree. I think the best part about the movie was how the actors seemed genuinely afraid. Seeing that raw fear made it pretty much the most horrifying movie I've ever seen. Granted, I haven't seen many horror films.

Because a lot of times, they genuinely were. For much of the scenes filmed in the woods at night, there was no real script — and the directors and crew would run around, or scream or just generally freak the actors out without warning to get that genuine startled reaction. Excellent.
