I love watching Christmas movies, but due to my work schedules I've only squeezed in

  • Claymation Christmas
  • Holiday Inn
  • Christmas in Connecticut

The first is my traditional "kickoff" film, we watch it on Thanksgiving. Holiday Inn is also a classic. The third is a new one I tried out this year — it was pretty good, but I doubt it'll make it into my yearly rotation.

Oh, I also watched the animated Grinch movie from 2018(?) which was fun. My brother and I are also planning to watch the Hawkeye show on Disney+

Anti-Matter

I have watched WICKED FOR GOOD for FIFTEEN times.
Tomorrow looks like it will be the last day I can watch again WICKED FOR GOOD at my local Cinema XXI before it will be replaced by other upcoming movies like Spongebob.

@Zuljaras Yeah I have my list of ones I watch every year. I will admit this year I am a little behind due to my TV time taken up by the season 2 primeier of Fallout and The Mighty Nein and a few other shows that Inwanted to see. Anyway my list usually consists of.

A Christmas Story: The quintessential Christmas move. Luckily I got to see it in theaters this year.
National Lampoon Christmas Vacation
Home Alone 1 and 2
Its a Wonderful Life
A Christmas Story Story (sequel a Christmas Story)
Batman Returns
Gremlins

After those if I have time I will watch a random one from my movie collection like Jingle All the Way or Polar Express which I watched a few weeks ago.

The Christmas movies that my family and I have watched this year are as follows:

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
How the Grinch Stole Christmas
A Charlie Brown Christmas
Home Alone
I Heard the Bells
Tonight we are watching either It's a Wonderful Life or Elf, depending on how the voting goes. I'll update this post when we finish the chosen movie.

We haven't watched that many this year because of our kind of busy holiday schedule. We haven't even watched Frosty the Snowman or Home Alone 2 yet, both of which are classics.

Edit: the family decided on It's a Wonderful Life. Still a masterpiece all these years later.

@MontyCircus yeah pretty damn legendary. I might put John carpenter up there too, but I know he's not everyone's cup of tea.

Watched home alone 2: lost in new York

Honestly I feel bad for Joe pesci and Daniel stern in this one. If it were real life Kevin would've murdered them several times over.

Can we all agree that Kevin from Home Alone is a sadist? The torture of the Wet Bandits was wholly unnecessary. Kevin knew where they were going to be and could have called the police immediately and had officers waiting at his house to arrest the burglars. But no, he waited for Harry and Marv to endure myriad forms of torture because deep down, he didn't want to protect his house, he just wanted to see others feel pain.

1966 or 2000?

We watch both...but feel the 1966 is by far the more essential one.

The phones were out. That's also why his mom couldn't get a hold of him from France.

The best thing about the movie is how John Hughes systematically filled all the potential plot holes as it went along. It's quite clever.

@MontyCircus,

1966. I've never seen 2000.

I watched It's a Wonderful Life for the first time, and I absolutely loved it. What a great movie! ❤️ I highly recommend it to anyone. That is a movie I'll have to watch every Christmas season going forward! I watched it on blu-ray, which has the black and white original and the colorized version, and I wanted to watch it in black and white.

It takes all my willpower not to cry at the finale.

Many say watching the colour version is "blasphemy!", but after watching it in black & white for many years, among other things it was really cool to see: "Wow! So that's what Violet's turning-heads dress looked like!"
