The scene towards the end when Ripley heads back into the complex to save Newt from the Queen Alien still freaks me out. They really convey the sense she's heading back into the depths of hell to save this kid.
"Attention. Emergency. All personnel must evacuate immediately. You now have fifteen minutes to reach minimum safe distance..."
Disney movies during this year 2025 are terrible in my opinion.
Snow White 2025 was abysmal. (3/10)
Lilo & Stitch live action was disappointing. (5/10)
ELIO was awful. (5/10)
Zootopia 2 looked terrible from the music choice and I really hate with the collaboration of popular stuffs in that movie which just only a repulsion for me. (0/10)
Disney now is not the same like old Disney.
I wonder if another Disney movie in year 2026 will be better or even more disappointing.
I'm not sure Toy Story 5 will be better than Toy Story 4.
I don't think Moana live action will looks better than the animated version.
But in contrary, WICKED FOR GOOD is the only my Movie of the Year 2025. (9/10)
I have watched for 5 times at Cinema XXI, will keep watching as many as can during December 2025.
Let's see if I can break the record by watching for more than 10 times.
@anti-matter
I agree, the "main" Disney output this year wasn't great. Like you said, Snow White wasn't very good (that's putting it lightly), and Elio was just OK. However, Zootopia 2 looks to be pretty good (even if it's not your jam), and while I haven't seen the original Lilo & Stitch or the LA remake, they both look great β I'll get to them eventually! Luckily, Disney owns a lot of companies β including Marvel! This year, Marvel released Fantastic 4: First Steps, which was a really fun movie, as well as Thunderbolts* (my personal favorite movie this year!), and Marvel Zombies, which was super fun! So, they're not totally ruined! I will probably watch Wicked: For Good soon, but I'm in no rush β I have seen the second act online, and watched reviews of the film itself, and I'm not excited enough that I'm willing to go to the theater for it.
(Oops... This was longer than I meant for it to be... I guess that's what happens when I talk about something I like β movies, books, games...)
@CaleBoi25
WICKED FOR GOOD have some MAJOR changes compared with Broadway version.
The major changes looked better and more make a sense.
Oh, btw.
WICKED Broadway Brazil version year 2023 from YouTube was hilarious.
You can watch the whole performance from YouTube.

Last year's Wicked was one of my 3 favourite movies of the year.
For Good I wouldn't even recommend.
After getting home from the show I did some googling (what the heck went wrong??), and found the first act of the Broadway show is famously much better than the second.
I preferred Wicked Part 1 as well, although most of the people I watched For Good with seemed to love it. Not sure why, I just wasn't as invested in it. Maybe if I'd rewatched the first one so it was fresher in my memory it would have been better.
Thank you Nintendo for giving us Donkey Kong Jr Math on Nintendo Music
@Dogorilla
WICKED part 1 felt more like High School Musical since it was about their college age experience before facing the truth of Wizard of Oz.
Part 2 (FOR GOOD) was more serious with propaganda of Wicked Witch for Elphaba, the oppression of animals and the consequences of every characters for choosing their choice (ended up in tragic consequences).
I would say both of them are great in different way.
The only my minor disappointment from FOR GOOD was... SPOILER ALERT π¨ The melting scene which still looked similar as Broadway version by using their shadow on the wall to show Elphaba melted after Dorothy threw a bucket of water that had been prepared intentionally by Elphaba
I do agree that For Good isn't as good as part 1. I haven't seen Wicked on Broadway, but had definitely heard not to get my hopes up that it was going to be better. It was still good though! Some of the songs were nice and the ending was cool enough! I think my main problem with it though is that the tone is just too inconsistent. Like, these are some serious stakes and yet a lot of the scenes just feel so jovial and goofy. They fit the first movie well but here it just doesn't work. Might be a problem with the musical, idk. I'd give it a 7/10, Twisted is better.

ACNH (again)
Saw Zootopia 2 yesterday and loved it. The original was my favorite Disney movie in the last 10 years and Iβm happy to say Zootopia 2 is a worthy sequel
Decided to get Disney+ since they had a $5/month deal, any suggestion as to what I should watch? I'm already planning to fill in the gaps in my MCU repertoire, and I'll check out some Pixar movies too.

Disney has the new Fantastic Four movie starring Pedro Pascal. I haven't seen it yet, but assume it's decent.
The christmas movie Noelle. I thought it was corny at first, but it's entertaining.
If you have Hulu bundled, the newest season of Futurama, exclusive to hulu, is supposed to be good.
Did you see Andor? I thought the first episode or two were kind of too dark for me, but after seeing this song+video from season 2, I gave season 2 a chance just because of that song, and then watched season one.
@D-Star92 I love all the Toy Stories! And A Bug's Life is a classic!
@WoomyNNYes I've actually not watch The Mandalorian yet, so I'll try that and Andor. My brother and I saw the new Fantastic Four in theaters, actually, but it was good enough that we will certainly give it another go!
@CaleBoi25 Oh sh*t, really? You have seen Mandalorian? Oh, by all means, watch Mandalorian first. If you like star wars, it's pretty great. If you like that, then there's the spin off Obi Wan mini series season, and a Boba Fett one too.(forget what it's called, Book of Boba Fett, maybe?)
I watched Andor because I'd seen those first. Andor is good, but it's a kind of it's own thing.
I'm going to subscribe to disney+ tomorrow so my 1 month sub lasts until Jan 1. I haven't subscribed since last april. I'll let you know if I see anything else I forgot.
(Doctor Who on disney was ok, but a few episodes were pretty great, like "The Church on Ruby Road", that was the christmas day episode for 2023(it has a touch of christmas). Episode "Rogue" was good too (guest stars Jonathan Groff from Hamilton)
I realized my sitting style (body language) during watching the movie, it tells the situation of the movie I watched.
If I sit on relax position (lean to the couch) that means I enjoyed the moment.
If I changed my body position leaning forward that means I watched very important moment, oftenly the most thrilling parts.
But if I crossed my legs and my face goes flat, I didn't impressed by the movie.
So I rewatched Belle, the 2021 anime movie
It's a internet style retelling of Beauty and the Beast, but with lots of creative liberties taken.
It is one of the best looking movies I've ever seen, and the songs are genuinely breathtaking, even in the English dub. The story is also really good, following Suzu, known online as Belle, and it use the plot of Beauty and the Beast to explore the good and bad of the internet in an interesting way. 9/10, would watch a third time
For anyone curious, it's on HBO Max and DVD (Although you could π΄ββ οΈ)
binging through the old Super Mario World cartoon on Tubi. mostly to watch the little bits of Captain N Season 3 that are part of the Super Mario World cartoon.
