Just got back from seeing Star Wars Episode III at my local theater. It was awesome seeing it on the big screen again. Really enjoyed it alot and what can I say about this movie that hasn't been said before. Now I want to watch the rest of them all 6 of them.

watching the old 1987 slasher flick Open House on youtube. I still remember watching that movie at least once or twice for a VHS rental back in the day.
So i bought Sonic 3 on Blu-ray recently. (Actually a 4k/Blu-ray combo since Paramount stopped doing stand-alone Blu-ray releases and opted for a combo instead). And the movie really good. Though...I feel the pacing is wee bit rushed in a way...maybe...

Watched Predator 2 (1990) on vhs the other night. While the original remains one of the greatest action films of all time, the sequel is actually pretty solid in it's own right. They made the smart choice of changing up the setting to the urban jungle of LA. The film really conveys the oppressive heat of a big city in summer time. Try to take a drink every time you see a giant sweat stain on someone's back, you won't make it through the movie! Danny Glover is great in the lead role as a hardened cop. They do a good job of expanding upon the Predator lore as well. The Predator has a bunch of cool new killing implements, and I always loved that little easter egg to the Alien franchise with the skull on the wall in the Predator mother ship.
Tonight watched Paddington In Peru on Netflix. Ok, I didn't expect the movie to have the twists it did. I enjoyed this one.
Also, a few weeks back, I got to see Star Wars Episode III in theater with a friend. Which means I've seen at least one movie from each Star Wars Trilogy in theaters (the other two being A New Hope and The Force Awakens).
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
@Sunsy
Paddington in Peru was mediocre in my opinion after I have watched from my local cinema January 2025 ago.
The plot twist was predictable, the greed intention of treasure was cringey to watch.
It was almost like same cringey level of Dora explorer movie last time 2019.
The actors & actress choice for Paddington family was really mediocre, they don't have photogenic looking, more like ordinary people.
They don't have that much the charisma like other actor / actress.
Paddington Bear was cute to watch, but the rest of the human characters just cringey to watch.
Well, another bad movie in my opinion.
Btw, I will watch Lilo & Stitch live action movie next week.
The movie looked promising than live action Snow White that was abysmal.
Saw Thunderbolts and holy cow that was AWESOME. I’m not really into Marvel movies (or superhero movies in general) but I really enjoyed this one! Super solid, and it had some great moments and action with a bit of wittiness and humor mixed in, not to mention that the antagonist was REALLY threatening. I actually got a little scared by the villain’s demeanor and abilities! Again, awesome movie!

If you’re curious, the character in my PFP is Toothy from Happy Tree Friends.
@Sunsy my family loved the first 2 movies, and we saw the third in theater since it came out on my brother’s bday! Objectively a bad movie since it is just a rehash of the first two…. BUT I DON’T CARE!! I love all three, they are just so fun/funny. Anytime we have hamburgers my family says “nice buns by the way. Really nice buns” because of the second one lol, and went someone is being suspicious we say “the Lord moves in suspicious ways… don’t you mean mysterious ways?” Overall really fun trilogy. 😊
@Pastellioli I watched that with my friend last week, it really was amazing! He is a big McU guy, while I am more of a casual fan, but even outside of it being a good entry in the series it is just a really good movie, period! Op 15 movies for me personally, I will be getting it on DVD asap! @Zuljaras haven’t seen Brave New World yet, will probably check it out when my [friend’s D+ gets it] I mean what we don’t split the price between 3 families haha what do you mean? Seriously though, if you were disappointed by BNW, check out Thunderbolts. Like I said, it was one of my favorite movies ever!
@CaleBoi25 I agree! It’s one of the BEST Marvel movies I’ve seen out of the few I’ve watched. I was kind of just expecting it to be comedic and irreverent the whole time from what I saw for the posters and marketing, but it had a fantastic story and message and the characters were awesome! It is making me want to see some future Marvel movies too, like the Fantastic Four in July. I’ll admit I hadn’t really seen the trailer for that besides a few snippets, but they played it before Thunderbolts started, and I can’t tell you how much I liked the retro 1960s look of Fantastic Four with the setting and the costumes.

Well, I watched Lilo & Stitch live action movie just now this evening and.....
It was quite disappointing. 😟
There were a lot of changes and the major missing that made me less impressed than the cartoon version.
I will explain here.
SPOILER ALERT (Sorry if the sequences are not in order)
So, the live action version had no Captain Gantu and it changed a lot of the roles of certain characters and the way to deliver the scene from cartoon version to live action version.
Because of NO Captain Gantu at all in live action version, Stitch got prisoned in special room with machine guns which automatically keep looking for Stitch without using his blood sample to keep tracking on Stitch.
And because of NO Captain Gantu, the beginning part felt too rushed when Stitch successfully escaped with Red space ship.
Jumba became very evil for no reason when he destroyed Lilo's house and misspelled Papa & Mama (Lilo's parents) from name plate in front of their bedroom.
No mosquito bites on Pleakley.
Agent Cobra Bubbles (CIA) now is separated character who investigated about alien invasion.
Ms Kekoa (by Tia Carere) became the replacement of Cobra Bubbles as social worker, but Cobra Bubbles still working with Ms Kekoa as the director of social worker in disguise.
Pleakly was a weirdo in live action version, not crossdreseer like RuPaul.
The live action version made Jumba captured Stitch and he will turn Stitch into experiment 627 (Evil Stitch) and I saw a picture of experiment 624 (Angel) for a brief before Jumba chose 627.
Stitch was captured by Jumba and escaped with big spaceship, not Lilo captured by Captain Gantu in cartoon version.
Lilo rescued Stitch, not Stitch rescued Lilo.
Mertle (Mean girl) got very short airtime in live action version.
There wasn't iconic YEAH... from the Mertle follower girls.
Lilo shoved Mertle on the stage during the hula dance performance after Mertle intentionally pushed Lilo during the dance.
No punching on Mertle face from Lilo.
Lilo didn't nailed the front door, didn't do voodoo practice by putting spoons in the pickles jar, didn't hide inside the washing machine from Nani.
Pleakley and Jumba stayed inside hotel with human disguise after they touched two random humans as their sample & keep spying on Stitch.
Nani didn't ask Lilo to find the dog from dog shelter, Ms Tutu did instead.
Stitch didn't get squished by heavy trucks but get squished by tour bus.
There was NO scene of Stitch asked about Ugly Duckling storybook from Lilo.
The ending, the live action version made Lilo and Nani got separated by made Lilo got adopted by Ms Tutu and David as their new Ohana after long deliberation from Ms Kekoa as social worker and Nani decided to pursue her career in Marine degree. They still can meet each other via Zoom video and Lilo still have the Teleport gun from Jumba so Nani can meet Lilo physically anytime.
Cobra Bubbles and Pleakley stayed inside Lilo's house.
Jumba got arrested and had no remorse.
Okay, that's all the spoiler I can explain today.
If I gave the score for cartoon version = 9 from 10, Lilo & Stitch live action version = 6 from 10.
Will I rewatch again at my local cinema?
Just only two times on next week and then done because I thought the cartoon version was better than the live action version.
I watched Mufasa tonight on Disney+ and I enjoyed it. I will say I have not seen the remake of The Lion King so the only thing I could go off of is the original Lion King movie. That being said I actually enjoyed it more as a story about Scar then Mufasa. Granted I know it was basically the same but Scar has always been one of my favorite Disney villains so there's that. I loved seeing his origins probably more than Mufasa's and it made sense why Scar was the way he was in Lion King.
Overall one of the better newer Disney movies.

Watched the OG Jurassic Park this week with my brother. Both of us grew up after it released, so we are used to “better” CG, but overall it was a really fun time. Some good thrills, fun characters, and pretty great CG overall! We will probably watch a few more in the series considering how much we liked it.
