I liked Avatar too, but it's far from Sci-fi. Just saying. Now Avatar the Movie was Sci-fi. I liked that one.
From what I have read the new Avatar Series is going to be more Steam punk then the last one.
Yes, I read that that to. The first Avatar: The Last Airbender was more historical fantasy that sci-fi but I'm guessing the new show Avatar: The Legend of Korra is going to be a cross between sci-fi and historical fantasy. I also enjoyed James Cameron's Avatar. I also think that Green Lantern is good sci-fi as well.
Sweet thats the first I have seen of it. Also I read somewhere from the creators of the Avatar from an interview at Comic Con that Legend of Korra is going to be more of a mini series rather than a full series like Last Airbender. Either way I cant wait.

A mini-series? I hope not. I was looking forward to an all out full fleged show. T_T

Yeah I think this only going to be like 12 episodes or something like that, but who knows maybe if its a huge hit they will make more.

You've got a point there my friend and I believe that you're right. Nickelodeon might follow the honorable Mr. Lucas and Mr. Tartakovsky in this matter. Star Wars Clone Wars The Micro-Series was a mini series that simply "tested the waters" and because it was so successful we now have the mega sweet Emmy / Anie Award winning Star Wars The Clone Wars airing on Cartoon Network. Perhaps this is what Nickelodeon is going to do.
BTW who among us watched NBC's Batman-esque "The Cape"? I haven't watched it saved for the previews. At this very moment I'm downloading the show to my iPod Touch as the pilot episode is free. Anyway, I thought the show according to the image and vibe given through the previews was a bit dark and depressing. I hope the entire show doesn't feel that way as all that darkness and misery ruined and killed "Heroes". Please NBC don't do that to this new show.

@TokyoRed: Whats funny is I liked the first Clone Wars series but despise the new Clone wars oh well to each their own.
I dont watch much TV nowadays, the main reason I dont is cause nowadays it seems TV shows have no staying power they are on for like a season or two and than they are canceled while leaving a viewer with a cliffhanger. If a TV show looks good and sticks around for awhile than I just go back and I rent the DVDs through Netflix.

Yes, I know exactly what you're getting at. My personal favorite "SyFy's Flash Gordon" was spectacular and then it was cancelled, the same went for NBC's sequel to the original Knight Rider and the pseudo sequel Bionic Woman sequel.
I can tell you that we've got a lot of goodness to look forward to on television with Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Young Justice, Thor: The Animated Series, Ultimate Spider Man, Tron: The Animated Series, Tron: The Live Action Series, Supah Ninjas, Naruto Shippuden Phase II, Stan Lee's Heroman and of course the return of The Biggest Loser, BBC Drama Sherlock and BBC Drama Robin Hood and the dawn of BBC Drama Merlin Season III on SyFy Channel.
That's funny, since I stopped watching TV because I was tired of having to keep up with a show for season after season. If I missed a few episodes, I get lost. I just can't stand watching long story-based shows anymore. That's why I stick with Animes, especially shorter 1 or 2 season long shows. As I said before, sometimes the best stories are told concisely. Those are the ones I look for these days.
A really good sci-fi series is Tintin, even though the whole series isn't sci-fi(the first books were more historical-fiction) as the series progressed it became more science-fiction like "Explorers on the Moon" and "Destination Moon". Overall I would highly recommend the whole series to anyone.

Are you talking about Tin Tin with the adorable dog that is being adapted into a movie this year?

Lol I really enjoyed the remake of Knight Rider yeah I know people are going to argue with me here but I viewed it as a reboot and not a continuation of the series. The only thing I didnt like was how they made K.A.R.R. a mech type robot, and than to have Peter Cullen (who did the original voice of K.A.R.R. on the original series as well as Optimius Prime) made it seem like they were trying to capitalize on the Transfomers movie popularity.
@MickeyMack: I know what you mean for years I was the same way I stopped watching TV series cause of work and what not I just couldnt keep up. Thats how I ended up breaking my Simpsons Habit lol. I use to watch that show religiously but than I had to stop cause I would usually be working at the time it would come on. Lucky for me now I have a DVR so I just recorded the shows and watch them later. I have a whole season of Burn Notice recorded right now just waiting for me to find the time to watch it.

To be honest and frank about the matter I submit to you that they were. Even the producers of the show discussed in little short takes on youtube that they were aiming the game at teenagers who were Transformers fans. They even went so far as to compare KARR and KITT to the robots in the Transformers franchise. I don't think they should have done that as that strategy alienated those who grew up watching the original show.

Ah that would explain somethings than but still it was cut short there was soooo much they could do with it. The biggest plus for me was no David Hasselhoff.

Yes, I agree. I really miss this show! I also miss Transformers: Animated and Josh Bernstein's Digging For The Truth.
