FPS mario laser tag or something metroid prime dont think there be anouther one but i hope there will they should make a bbrand new franchise with a new character that uses guns and the main character is a bird or something a animal

Stop suggesting themed games. (Zombie themed FPS, Games like [insert game here], etc.) They won't happen. There's not a hope in hell of them happening. If this does turn out to be Miyamoto's last game, It won't be some load of rip-off crap. It's gonna be completley original, I can promise you that.

Team Fortress 2 is kind of unique I guess, as was Half-Life 2 and its expansions, but I seriously doubt that'd be enough to save the genre from this samey-ness epidemic at this point...

I haven't heard as much about new FPSs lately so maybe that's dying a bit. Or maybe because this gen is old now because 6-7 years is old for some reason so less major releases are inevitable I guess.
