Well, he originally wanted OoT to be played from a first-person perspective, way back in the day. But...

Hasn't he said before that FPS were an interesting idea and wasn't he the one who came up with Geist and wasn't he the one who wanted the Prime series to be in first person or was that someone else I could be wrong anyone else know?

He's had intentions of making one before. Ocarina of Time was spouse to be a a FPS, or almost was.

@Mamp - Yeah, I'm pretty sure Miyamoto was the one that made the call to switch Prime to first-person midway through development.

It's Miyamoto whatever he makes will be interesting and fun so if he makes a FPS the only thing you can do is just get ready to get powned online if you're a noob

Guys, please note that just because the genre says FPS doesn't mean it will be a gruff-tuff uberelite online killstreak bergedy bloo. With's Miyamoto's creativity, it can be something a lot more than just that.

I think most of you people just don't get the genre anymore. It seems when you hear the term "first person shooter", all that comes to mind is some badboy, bald dude with a AK4, jumping off a building shooting helicopters while smoking a cigar. But that's not what the genre is about and you have to think outside the box sometimes instead of being all butthurt because the media has changed the way we view them anymore. (For the most part anyway.)

Especially when it comes to Miyamoto. Do you really think he wants to participate in all that American crap? If anything, Miyamoto was inspired by just about every other department in the first person genre except the war/cliche shooters. Take Portal and Bioshock for examples.

hmmm i think it shouldnt be mario fps but more like metroid prime which is a adventure fps with i new things to bring to the franchise like a new nintendo character

I'd really love to see what Miyamoto would make out of an original series in FPS. I hope he gets time to do it or that is the small project he's working on.
