Topic: How Mario Characters have Changed Over the Years

Many of the characters in the Mario series have changed since they were first introduced, and some of them have changed more than others.
So who's changed the most? Who's changed the least? And who has stayed relatively the same? Change can be by looks, behavior, personality, etc.

First of all, let's start with Mario himself:

You can hardly tell it's the same character!

Its just like comparing the Mickey Mouse from Steamboat Willie to the Mickey of today.

Also, I think Goomba has changed the least, they pretty much just gave him a mouth and that's it.

Bowser's changed quite a bit over the years.

My favourite Mario character, Wario is one of the Mario characters who's changed the most, both in appearance and personality.

Maybe I was exaggerating a bit over the personality but his role has certainly changed as he's not the villain he started out as.

Why just Mario characters? Why not all Nintendo characters?

Anyway, I'd say Link.

princess peach used to be called princess toadstool and she had brown hair instead of blonde.

Well, that's because it's a different Link in almost every game.

Almost is a key word.

That's 'cause there's a lot of Mario characters. This narrows it down, and a lot of characters from Mario might get overlooked in a thread like that!

Hmmm. I think this thread would get more replies if it wasn't just Mario but I guess it's not my thread.
