Found a video this morning, but must give you all a POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING!!!! I think it pretty much confirms what people have been theorizing, so don't watch it if you wanna be completely clueless going in.
Oh my goodness, one week to go doooods, and I've still got Season 5 to rush through. I was on schedule, but watched a few Season 4 episodes twice, what an a amazing season! I can't beleive how awesome 'The Constant' is, what a way to completely turn everything on it's head. They had already hinted at such possibilities a year earlier in 'Flashes Before Your Eyes', but to see it all confirmed and in someway explained is so f'ing cooool. Why did Desmondo's conscious mind start time traveling when they reached the electrical storm (boundary?)? Because he had been exposed to massive amounts of radiation when he blew up the hatch of course. But how does the island cause such things? Exotic matter!!! Of course...
The Man of Faith inside me wants to know about the theology of the island, and how it could be connected to the Egyptian Gods and their people. Also the battle between light and dark, that has been fought on this 'island' for centuries between Jacob and 'friend'?
The Man of Science inside me wants to know so much about the island's unique nature, and how it could ever become 'stuck in time'. I want to know about it's true location, if there is such a thing. I also want to know how the 'destiny' of everyone on flight 815 plays into to all this. Is there such a thing in the Lost universe? I suppose there is, if you take into account time travel and universal course correction. If you have already done something, then you are destined to do it again (when you go back in time) regardless of whether you try to, or not. Aaagh!
I also need to know about this guy...
Ever since the pilot, the Black Smoke has been there, judging, killing, defending. The writers (early on) rejected any idea it might be nanites controlled by electromagnets, so what the fudge is it then? Yes, it's a defense system, but what (apart from the island itself) is it defending? And who for. And again... wtf is it?!?! D:
I could type all night, but I want some Season 5 action before I go to bed. After all, I haven't got long left. Wooh!

@Machu - I know how you feel Machu! So much stuff to talk about and theorize about, but only 8 days until the shows tells us the truth (hopefully)!! What the heck IS that thing!?! I never noticed that before!! That is MESSED UP!! WHY!?! WHY MUST THE LOST WRITERS TAUNT US SO!?!?!?!!?! What's gonna happen? What is that? I want to know about the The Black Rock? Where is Claire? Why, why, why, WHY!?!?!

@Machu Over the turbine in the pilot wasn't the smoke monster. Damon Lindelof said it was just an error in post production and they took out the swooping thing in the DVDs. And did you guys ever read some of the books they mention on the show. They are really interesting. I just finished reading Slaughterhouse V by Kurt Vonnegut and it was amazing. It was about a WW2 POW whose consciousness becomes unstuck in time, like Desmond. You guys should really pick it up sometime.

@PaupackElite: I know, I know, I wondered if anyone here would pull me up on that. To be honest, the chance of it being The Black Smoke seems a lot more likely than a crappy CGI error. But yeah, they dispelled that rumour so I guess I should beleive them. As for the book no I haven't, and perhaps I should as what is happening to Desmondo is one of the bits I find most enjoyable. I have read 'A Separate Reality' and 'Valis', I'll have to see if I can track down Slaughterhouse V. Thanks for the reminder.

Battlestar Galactica is the best program I have ever seen, by far. But Lost is capable of outdoing it, so long as everything is wrapped up tightly. I forgave BSG for it's end (wtf Kera), but I fear I couldn't forgive Lost if I am left with a hat-full of unanswered questions when it's all done.
Btw, in Season 1, I joked with friends about how the final episode of Lost would involve Jack in space. I've stuck with that prediction the whole way through, and still am.
More Lost spam.... what a moment! Did everybody else see all the images of Eko's past within the smoke when the camera passed through it? Awesome!
Eko was the man. After that season I tried to carry a big stick with carvings around everywhere I went. I kept getting kicked out of stores and restaruants. Eventually, someone called the cops and they maced and beat me senseless....
Mr. Eko: Did you see it? Charlie: Yeah, I saw it. What the bloody hell did you do? Mr. Eko: I did nothing. Charlie: Most people, when they see a creature made of swirling black smoke, they run. Mr. Eko: I was not afraid of it.
Here she is... Season 6 promo shot i still reckon she died in Otherton when Keamy and crew started blowing things up, but now the time bomb has gone off, who knows...
And yes, everyone check out Slaughterhouse V. A great read, and not long for those of you who are not big readers. The film version wasn't half bad either (for some reason i think it may have been a BBC production, but i could be way off), which actually surprised me.
Have any of you guys ever heard the Previously on Lost songs. They are the best. If you guys are looking for a good podcast or something to listen too, I would really recommend the Lost Podcast with Jay and Jack. Not only is there podcast amazing but they have a great forum and everyone's great.
