This is a project I've been contemplating taking up for at least a couple of years now, and I'm finally going to start on it! I want to create the definitive version of the entire Bionicle story. This comes from my eternal frustration of never being able to find the (complete) version of the story that I want. So I'm going to compile it myself! This'll probably take awhile, and require a lot of research, but I'm up to it. I am going to create the Legend of the BIONICLE.
I hope there are some other Bionicle fans here who'll be interested in seeing my progress, and maybe help out a bit! If at least one person shows some interest, I'll be happy!
For now, that's it, but I'll update this as soon as there's something new!

What exactly do you mean by "Compile"? If you want to just create a timeline/short chronological summary, then reorganizing this production timeline is most of the work that you'll need to do. If you actually want to create a narrative tying all of the events together, then you have a bigger mess on your hands.
However, if you do need some help, I happen to have a 2006 Bionicle Universe encyclopedia. Not sure how that will help, but I got it and it contains a lot of Bionicle info.

It's going to be a legend, so it will be a narrative. The timeline will probably be a good springboard. The closest thing I've seen to what I want is Makuta's Guide to the Universe, but it's still far from what I want. I got the encyclopedia from the library years ago, and I remember it was really good. I could probably just do it from memory for the most part, but I want to be totally authentic.
This would be so unbelievably fantastic. Bionicle is my favourite Lego theme so far. To be able to read the entire story from start to finish would be great.
I'm just wondering how you'll handle the Metru Nui story arc. Will it be presented before or after the arrival of the Toa Mata?

I totally love this idea, I'm a huge fan of bionicle and i have a crazy amount of their playsets. Though, I didn't know there was a story line since recently... I used to make my own story (it was a lot like the original) But is it only going to be a complete timeline or will it be more like hyrule historia? Anyway good luck with the project!
@GamerZack7: First I'm telling about the origin of Mata Nui (about early Karda Nui and Tren Krom and all that), then I'll tell about the creation of the Toa Mata and their training, and how Tahu tricked all the others into going into stasis. Then I'll tell about Metru Nui and all the stuff that happened there.
