Topic: Is the Wii U worth it?

I know posting here will get me somewhat biased answers, but I find that posting here is better than elsewhere because I will get "wii u is shit" by everyone on other sites compared to everyone here. I am 16 years old and I have to make the choice between getting a Wii U ($300) or a BenQ RL2455HM ($200). My main gaming "platform" is PC, I play all of my games on my PC. My current monitor is an Acer G205HV 1600x900 and I think its fine and does the job. But, I am also a good fan of mario and legend of zelda. Note that I do not have a lot of time to be playing games, I play mostly on weekends (at night or sunday mornings), meaning im not going to buy every single wii u game that comes out, even if its mario or legend of zelda, which translates to, I wont pick up my wii u as often as some do or think I would do.

So what do you guys think? Stay with my 1600x900 monitor (considering PC is my main gaming platform) or buy a Wii U (Again, I wont play Wii u that much and this is pretty obvious, I will only play for games like Legend Of Zelda and Mario and PC for everything else).

Get the Wii U. X looks too good to pass up.

Stay with your PC and pick up a Wii U super cheap later on down the road.

If you know you won't play it often, why take money away from your main platform for a system you'll hardly play? Plus you'll notice a decent difference with your new monitor.

Get the Wii U, it will have a few Nintendo games you wouldn't want to miss, and then you have your PC for most 3rd party stuff that doesn't get released.

I say pick up a Wii U later and just stick with the PC for now seeing as you won't really be playing the Wii U wait till the new Zelda is released.

Alright thanks everyone, I will buy the monitor instead of the wii u. Like as others have said, get the Wii U when its cheaper (which will happen eventually). Monitors...almost never go "cheaper" because they come out with new ones every so often. Thanks guys, if you want you can continue providing feedback!
