I was spekulation in buying a new adventure game, and decided to do My homework, before buying. I have already bought Thimbleweed Park, and it is a great game - and yet I was minor disapointed when I had completed it. (Puzzles are great, but the storie a little lose and uncoherent). So I desided to check various "best-list". (Nintendo Life, Gamespressure, SwitchUp, NintendoEdit, 50 games like and Metascore). I Am very suprised how few titles witch was represented on more than One list. Their was a couple of titles wich was on two list but almost none on three. And some of the games on One list, was Judged very low in otters forum.
I have always knowned, that taste was different, but I have never though the differences was so wide. So are they (top/best list) worth anything in recommendening purchases?
There is never going to be a best top.whatever list because opinions are different. I mean there could be a top best seller list which makes its list from hard facts in that case sales figures but when you have a best games list based on opinion you have to take it with a grain of salt.
I could do a list of best RPGs on the Switch and I am sure my list will be different then others and what some might consider a best one I may not and vice versa.
Thanks for your suggestions. And Zelda is a possbility eventhough I dont recon it as a pure Adventure-game.

I think you're right, but I did thought, that in a particular genre, their would be more titles which were mentioned across the lists. Even when I narrowed down to point-n-click adventures, very few titles was mentioned in more than 2 lists. (I'm NOT sure I wan't another point-n-click - it was just for trying comparring a very homogen game-genre). But I just have to pick the game I find most promissing among those on a list.
