I once sneezed on a female classmate's hair. I was sick that time and the result was rather nasty. From that experience I can tell you that if you were truly sick, she'll be able forgive you with time.
I'd tell them I had a surprise for them in the drawer I barfed in. I'd follow with the condition that the only way they would get it is if they sat down, closed their eyes and reached into said drawer without looking.
