Topic: I simply had to get this one of my chest..

I don't know about the rest of you but I am becoming increasingly *****d off by the BBC and it's intimidating letters it is sending out over the lack of TV License at my address (I've a whole stack of them) let me first start by saying that I do not watch any BBC or it's subsidiary channels no live TV nothing, yet continue to receive these letters, now I'm due for a visit by it's 'enforcement officers' Ooooh scary, I know what I'll be doing if they come around "No thank you" and simply shutting the door in their face as they do not have any legal powers. If you too are threatened with a visit simply do not talk to them, no need to be rude (although some of them might be) the Chilli Jon Carne Podcast on YouTube is a good source of information here.
I too believe that the BBC is something of a joke now (only not very funny) why they can't just stand on their own two feet like lots of other media organizations manage to do and rely upon this scummy system of licensing where they use fear to try and sell licenses to people who might not want/or need them is beyond me. They also target the vulnerable in society, take a look at some cases on Jon Carne's website.
The BBC and it's license fee is the remnant of a forgotten age and HAS TO STOP the government HAS to (not just could or should) do something about it and simply put paid to this despicable situation once and for all.

Sorry for the rant, but this just makes me so angry aargh!!
