Topic: How's the hot summer weather for you this week?

Today its 100. then tomorrow its going to be 102.

I know that Im staying put inside my apartment to stay cool.

Then Friday or Saturday its supposed to cool back down a little to 83

Its been 35~40C with the humidity here for a couple weeks now.

Basically the same here.

Considering myself lucky so far this year. After record-breaking heat, sunshine and lack of rain last summer, this summer has been much more like a traditional british summer - sustained periods of overcast skies and an element of unpredictability about rain showers. The way the global climate is shaping up, I'd happily take this kind of summer every year for the next 30.

Wishing all in need some friendly clouds soon.

What are these “overcast skyes” and “rain showers” you speak of, sound like nice things to have

Over where I am in Texas, it's been hitting over 100 degrees just about every day since the middle of June 😅 if it isn't hitting over 100 it's still in the 90s. Usually, by the evening time, it drops down to the 80s.

We're getting ready to enter a string of 100°F+ days, so it's gonna be a hot one for sure (even yesterday hit about 95).

@Rambler you’re selling global warming the wrong way. Like @Eel said weather is a boring topic.

You need to connect it to something people do care about so they start caring, like the rise in global temperature particularly affects California so the average brain temperature in Hollywood has risen causing all the wokeness in movies, that will get people to take it seriously!

Will be 116F today. But it will get down to 105 F this week! I am so excited.

Meanwhile here it's barely got above 8C this week. Which globally is probably not too bad but here? Our infrastructure isn't built for the cold. One day recently it got below freezing and people lost their minds. I think there was even some breif snow! Can you imagine that!

Not looking forward to summer this year. I suspect there will be parts of WA that'll break 50C. Probably a 40C+ Christmas in Perth this year

@skywake You know the US isn’t the only country that uses the Fahrenheit Scale right? And it was much more widespread until 1960.

Anyway I just want it to get to 95F so I can go outside and not feel like death. Some bird dropped its egg on the sidewalk and I watched in semi horror as it cooked.
