How many of you thought Link was a girl and her name was Zelda  XD
I played SSB and payed no attention to his name. I called him that green dress wearing chick I played SSBB and payed no attention to his, Zelda, or Ganondorf's names either. I didn't even know they were from the same game
Then, I played Twilight Princess and my whole world changed! I started learning about all kinds of Nintendo characters after that.
Before, I only knew about Mario, Bowser, a little bit of Pokemon, and Princess Peach.
What about Samus for you guys? I played through the Sub Space Emmisary of Smash, and was shocked to see he was a girl lol I started using her just to play as Zero Suit Samus.
I never played any of the Zelda games The only Nintendo console I remember growing up was the 64 and we had only Mario games Then my family went to the PS2 and forgot about Nintendo until the Wii came
Just Read the F***k**g manuals LOL, The HERO of Time, The HERO chosen by the Godess this shows that hes a guy and he wears a sword this should make anybody understand what he is never seen a girl with a sword(Katanas doesnt count as a sword they are too light so even a child could lift them up)
You're right I was around 10 then lol I'm 15 now " That text right there? You posted that. And sure, you didn't know of Link for a while, but when you did start playing his games, you should have been able to tell that he is a guy.

"THERE ARE HUMANS IN THE WORLD WHO ARE UNAWARE OF THIS PIECE OF NINTENDO TRIVIA. THEY'RE OBVIOUSLY ALL RETARDED OR SEVEN."
The game is called The Legend Of Zelda with "Zelda" in massive red letters, and almost all the box arts featuring a green dude with no other name to tie to him. And all lack the princess herself. Shockingly, some people might just make the assumption his name is Zelda. Although I suppose what with Zelda being such an enormously common female name, that would be a silly assum- oh wait it isn't.
I don't see how anyone could think Link is a girl as he doesn't look like one at all. When I first saw Samus I thought she was a guy but when I looked closer into her visor on the box of the Metroid prime hunters demo that came with the DS (the first Metroid game I played) and thought her face looked like a woman's so I looked it up on the internet and found that she was female.

True, but, it's not like the game hides the fact that Link is not Zelda.
I don't think anyone here is surprised that some people think that Link is Zelda. The reason everyone is so surprised is that the OP actually thought Link was a girl.
Link no, once I found the character I quickly knew that it was not his name. However Samus I thought she was a robot until I got Metroid prime Hunters and learned differently, though I may have found it sooner, it's the only character to stump me
