Was going to go all in with microsoft, but android is looking to pull me back in.

Also alot of app updates and refinements.

Yep. Was going to trade in my 3DS for a 3DS XL but ill probably just grab the 16 gig nexus 7. And the Galaxy nexus will probably get another price cut this fall to $250.

The nexus Q is kind of stupid though.

The Nexus 7 looks sweet. It'll be interesting to see how well it runs games vs the iPad 2. I've bought so much on the App Store that I really don't want to switch, but that price is damn tempting. I wish Apple would just make their own 7-inch tablet and sell it for cheaps.

Nope. Not going to do much to slow down the iPad.

It will ruin the Kindle Fire, though.

The only tablet that will make sense to me is a one either a good keyboard and functioning Microsoft office. I have my doubts that the new Microsoft tablet will provide a good version at all. And this won't either. Its just s bigger screen to my cellphone that us already big enough. Doesn't make any sense. 3DS XL is different because its s pure gaming device.

Why is that? I don't follow tablets that closely (or at all) but I would have thought that a $250 tablet (or $200 for the 8GB model) would put a serious dent in iPad sales, given the fact that Android's pretty good these days. Does the iPad do something clearly better?

I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.

No. Worse probably. But it's shiny.

Why would you doubt a microspft tablet would have a functioning version of office whe office has been redesgined with arm chips and the metro UI in mind and all wkndows RT tablets will have office. Also windows phones have great office support

And im def going to go with the 16GB to replace my fire for school. Though this is running jelly bean im ot sure if this the tablet or phone version.

Also I hope i can remove that kindle fire like media UI piece. If not i can always just throw a launcher on it.

Yay!

Like Shingi, I want to get a 16GB Nexus 7 to use for school (and considering Google Now, the rest of my life), but as of right now I don't know if that or a PS3 is more practical for the near future. I could always shell out all of the money I've saved up and go for both, but what can I say, I'm greedy.

shingi_70

It should since Skype has an ICS app and the nexus 7 has a ffc.

Also chrome and Drive for ios.

Wanted to go into the microsoft ecosystem but Google is making some serious moves. Might just grab a Nexus 7 and Galaxy Nexus off contract and get a windows phone and windows tablet off.

I'm still not into this whole tablet thing, they just don't look appealing to me in the slightest...
Only way I'd likely ever end up with one if I won one from something, no way I'm spending my money on one.

Question: if you get a Galaxy Nexus off-contract, how do you use it as a phone (with a network and everything)?

If your on a GSM carrier (Tmobile, ATT, in the future any LTE provider) Just pop in the sim and go. Just make sure the phone supports yout regions frequency bands.

The Galaxy nexus is only $350 and with any luck when the next Nexus is announced i'tll get droppped to $250.
