Post your worst case scenario for Nintendo's Digital Event (assuming that it's reasonable length, and the expected developers do reveal SOMETHING)
Mine:
Mario Maker is a the big Winter 2015 release
The Smash Direct is ONLY about Lucas and the Miiverse stage
The Tantalus port is just Terraria
Nintendo announces the same pricing system for FE-if as in Japan
Retro's "big game" is DKCR3
Next Level's "big game" is Mario Strikers 3
XCX is delayed to spring 2016
Project Giant Robot and Project Guard are both rolled into Star Fox.
Star Fox Episode 1 releases this fall, but the two "Project" games are part of Episode 2, which is set for Summer 2016.
Project Treasure has an evil pricing structure
Hyrule Warriors and Rhythm Heaven are the two "unannounced" 3DS Games.
Happy Home Designer is considered a full retail game.
I think if this would make me cry.
Some of those are pretty likely and one of them is confirmed. Happy Home Designer is the equivalent of a full priced game in Japan, which is just sad. Rhythm Heaven and HW are most likely two of the unannounced games, but I think there's at least one more. Treasure will no doubt have traditional P2W pricing. Retro's game being DKCR is, unfortunately for me, likely. Tantalus' game being disappointing is all but assured, and them taking ZombiU will add insult to injury from ubisoft. XCX being delayed seems possible, they didn't even have any english text at all for the direct a month or two ago. Chances are they'll need more time to localize it, and I see Europe getting it before the US.
I do see Robot and Guard being mixed into StarFox. I hope so at least. Those tech demos being standalone would be sad. But them being episodic would be terrible. I hope that's not the case.
So have the interns been running the ship? Why all the company leaks? Granted I am EXCITED about HW going to 3ds... I'm working more which means I'm back to relying on my handhelds to game and I love that game so woohoo!!!
Taiko is good for the soul, Hoisa!

Don't do this to me. I'm going to keep thinking that all these things aren't going to happen.
I don't think Robot and Guard should stay like they were at last E3, but they have SO MUCH potential.
Guard in particular makes my inner Tower Defense nut go crazy. There are so many options to offer an original twist on the tower defense genre.

I am the only one that wants Retro to finish the DKCR trilogy.
You know, I love Tropical Freeze and they do need to make more of these sometime in the distant future, but it will be really disappointing now. There are other franchises, other projects, other games that are not platformers to be made. So no, I don't want them to finish it off soon. Also, the two games didn't have any connecting story so I don't think it calls for a trilogy.
Worst case scenario is Prime 4 announced as a mobile phone exclusive.

I want a 3rd game that connects the first two and brings back King K Rool, maybe he "partners up" with the other two baddies to take down Donkey Kong once and for all.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...
So I just thought up an amazing crossover Nintendo could do.
NintendoLand X Rollercoaster Tycoon.
I'd pay 100 dollars for that. That said, it'd unfortunately have to be on console, and I generally prefer business sims on PC.
As a fan of both Rollercoaster Tycoon and Nintendo... I don't get it.
Basically, it's a Nintendo themed version of RTC. You have thrill rides based on Nintendo characters (particularly some from the NintendoLand game). Many of the Rollercoasters are named for Nintendo games, etc.

If Retro is making another DK game I will lose all of my respect for them. It's bad enough that they insisted on adding to the list of samey platformers that do little to nothing to advance the genre or even their respective series over a game that could actually do wonders with the Wii U and the Gamepad. If they're making another, they prove themselves to be complete hypocrites with a bias against Metroid. They don't want to be "the Metroid guys"? Well at this point they're pretty much "the DK guys", and a third DK game would solidify that. If Retro doesn't want people to think they're a one trick pony they need to alternate IPs and show that they can balance several in one generation instead of giving one all of the attention and ignoring the other.
I've said this before, but I hate how everybody pretty much thinks Retro is only allowed to make Metroid games. Like, they make great Metroid games, yeah, but should they be forced to make Metroid games? Should we expect the, to be working on a new Metroid and then get angry at them because they aren't? No, that shouldn't be the case. Besides, Retro made three Metroid games in a row, so why can't they make three Donkey Kong games in a row? Just let them make whatever they want to make, and know that it is going to be a great game.

I think that's unrealistic. For whatever reason, Retro doesn't want anything to do with K. Rool.
I think it's possible we'll actually see a 3DS Tropical Freeze (only for NEW 3DS).
I agree with @Bolt_Strike. Retro is supposed to appeal to the "hardcore" western audience, and the majority of the audience does not want a third DK, that can be made by Nintendo in house just the same. It will be a huge disappointment, there's no way around it. They can come back to DK in a few years but right now they got to show something else, something like Xenoblade quality.
I really do enjoy the DKC games, but there's nothing there that screams "this was made by another talented studio" to me. It's Nintendo platforming. Retro needs/needed to distinguish themselves. Retro is ... Nintendo's Naughty Dog in a way, expectation-wise.

I don't think it is unrealistic, I just think it is un-probable but that is still what I would love to see in a 3rd DKCR game.

Fine, make a 3D DK game. Hell make a freaking racer for all I care, just make a game that makes sense on a powerful HD home console.
Don't make a 2D platformer, a 2D shmup, a top-down adventure or RPG, or a simple level based puzzler on Wii U. They can make all these they want for mobile or 3DS, as those aren't designed to offer grand experiences on powerful hardware.

We stand together, brother.
Although right now, if I could dictate what they're working on, it would be a sequel to Donkey Kong 64. So much potential on that game, I'd love to see it reimagined and free from its design oversights.
I don't care what Retro is doing now, but I do now that Tropical Freeze is one of the best platformers I have ever played, one of my favourite Wii U games. If it's another DKC game, I'm all for it.

Really, it's more that Wii U needs a Metroid game and Retro Studios is simply the best developer for the job (and really it needed a Metroid in 2013 more than 2016/2017, but better late than never), not so much that Retro should only be making Metroid. Metroid is a game that would really show the power of the Wii U, the graphics would be impressive and it would make great use of the Gamepad (seriously, map and menu screens, gyroscopic aiming, visor control, there's a lot they can do with it). Tropical Freeze was an underwhelming game, not just because it was a DK game and not a Metroid game, but because it didn't really do much to improve the Wii U's image. It was another rehashy platformer in a time when Nintendo was pushing out half a dozen of them, pretty much the last thing the Wii U needed. Retro needs to put out a game that adds variety to the lineup and takes advantage of the Wii U, the best candidate for that would be Metroid.
The fact that Hyrule Warriors 3DS comes with all the DLC kinda bothers me... Not really fair to the Wii U owners who supported the game.
And I really hope this means Kid Icarus: Uprising HD is happening.
Is there anything that points to this happening? I don't think there's any port/remake I'd want more than that!
KI:U was fantastic.
Its one of the very few 3DS first party games that should've been on Wii U to begin with. I would happily play it again on Wii U with better graphics and better controls.

how do you know it comes with all dlc? for now we only know about character dlc and as a first day buyer i can tell you all of that was free. we only paid for maps and modes if you dont count costumes.
