So Sony won E3. That was the greatest press conference I have ever seen. I was near crying with The Last Guardian. Horizon looks pretty good. FF7 remake, there are just too many things to name. I've never felt that satisfied after a press conference. There's often some sort of disappointment after a conference., but I didn't feel it after that.
So the FFVII remake is being directed by the dude who has two other games that he's directing that won't be out. So unless they want to step on each other toes that means either Kingdom Hearts or FFVII is getting released come 2018.
My E3 line up this far is
Microsoft >Sony>Ubisoft>>>>>>>EA can take thier minions elsewhere.
WAT!
Hey check out my awesome new youtube channel shingi70 where I update weekly on the latest gaming and comic news form a level headed perspective.
So unrelated to all that "Who won E3" stuff, Sony really did deliver so well that I honestly don't think I can bring myself to care about anything Nintendo announces tomorrow.
Sony made me succumb to shaking and tears and even then I can still get excited for Nintendo megatons.
However, it'd have to be an actual legit megaton. Something that would break Neogaf. I don't think Mother 3 could do that.
Best thread ever

Shenmue 3's kickstarter has already raised over $923,000 in a little over an hour.
Edit: over $935k! It's breaking records I believe.
Why, would people pay for Sony's game like that though? Aren't we literally paying for Sony's game to be made and making it so they profit tremendously from it, just so we can play a game that they should have funded since the beginning.

I think people just want the game to happen. Nobody thought the game would ever happen, but it can.
There was a tweet from a former IGN employee saying Shenmue 2's budget was $70 million. So I would imagine Shenmue 3 would be more than that. The $2 million they are asking for isn't to "fund" the game, it's to show publishers that there is a interest and people will pay money for that interest. There is a difference between people signing petitions to release a game, and people putting money down on a game they want.

To be honest, it seems like a huge rip-off, and seems like Sony's taking advantage of their fan's desire for the game. :/
@randonfurry Even then, they're still asking the fans to pay 2 million just to show they will support a game, that they obviously adore and have been asking for, for ages. I personally wouldn't pay extra money just to show a company that I want a game, especially since I have already shown a constantly strong desire for the game in the past.
A Mother 3 localization and Half-Life 3 are the only "never gonna happen" things left. We got FF7 remake, The Last Guardian, Shenmue III, and a localization of Mother 1, as well as Fallout 4 (which was a when, not an if). Best E3 ever.
So, the gaming apocalypse must be coming right?
Although you forgot one more "never gonna happen" thing: an open world Console Pokemon RPG
Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F

Its coming to PC too and plus this game is a huge risk because It could sell really well or crash and burn in my opinion
Playing: Wargroove on Switch and Fire Emblem on GBA

Tomorrow is bittersweet, I start training at my new job. But it's at 10am, so I am going to have to wait to watch the digital event until I get home. I really hope I can avoid spoilers.
But in the mean time! I am going to play some Heavy Rain before bed.
I have a question. Why do people love the idea of a FF7 remake (or remakes in general) so much? I honestly don't see the pros to it, other than seeing an older classic in newer graphics. It seems like a waste to buy the remake if you already have the original, unless of course, they add more to it. Is it because of the nostalgic feeling the game carries?
